Routes of Entry: Inhalation:YES  Skin:NO  Ingestion:NO
Reports of Carcinogenicity:NTP:NO    IARC:NO	OSHA:NO
Health Hazards Acute and Chronic:CONTACT WITH LIQUID CAN CAUSE
    FROSTBITE. EXPOSURE TO GREATER THAN 1000 PPM MAY LEAD TO DIZZINESS
    AND LACK OF COORDINATION. A LEVEL OF 2500 PPM IS IMMEDIATELY
    DANGEROUS TO LIFE AND HEALTH (IDLH LEVEL).	CHRONIC OVER-EXPOSURE
    MAY CAUSE LIVER DAMAGE. SMOKING IN AREAS WHERE THIS CHEMICAL IS
    RELEASED CAN CAUSE THE FORMATION OF TOXIC AND IRRITATING HALOGENS
    AND HALOGEN ACIDS WHICH COULD BE INHALED WITH T HE SMOKE. AVOID
    EXPOSURE TO PRODUCT AND DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS WHEN WEARING CONTACT
    LENSES. CLOUDING OF LENSES MAY OCCUR.
Explanation of Carcinogenicity:NOT TESTED FOR CARCINOGENICITY.
Effects of Overexposure:HALON 1202 IS IRRITATING TO NOSE AND THROAT.
    INHALATION CAN CAUSE DROWSINESS AND UNCONSCIOUSNESS. LIQUID CONTACT
    WITH SKIN CAN CAUSE FROSTBITE. ANAESTHETIC EFFECTS WILL INCREASE AS
    EXPOSURE LEVELS RIS E AND AT HIGH EXPOSURE LEVELS CARDIAC
    ARRYTHMIAS MAY BE NOTED.
Medical Cond Aggravated by Exposure:HEART CONDITIONS MAY BE AGGRAVATED
    BY EXPOSURE.

=======================  First Aid Measures  =======================

First Aid:INHALATION: REMOVE TO FRESH AIR. IF NOT BREATHING, GIVE
    ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION. IF BREATHING IS DIFFICULT, GIVE OXYGEN. GET
    MEDICAL ATTENTION.	SKIN: FLUSH WITH WATER, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION
    IF FROSTBI TE OCCURS. EYE: FLUSH WITH WATER, GET MEDICAL ATTENTION.
     NOTE: EPINEPHRINE IS CONTRAINDICATED IN THE TREATMENT OF
    OVER-EXPOSURE TO THIS PRODUCT.

=====================  Fire Fighting Measures  =====================

Extinguishing Media:HALON 1202 IS A FIRE EXTINGUISHING AGENT. USE WATER
    SPRAY TO COOL CYLINDERS INVOLVED IN FIRES. USE MEDIA SUITABLE FOR
    FLAMMABLE MATERIALS IN THE AREA.
Fire Fighting Procedures:EXPOSURE TO PERSONNEL IS TO BE AVOIDED FROM A
    SPILL, AND ACCIDENTAL DISCHARGE OR A SYSTEM OPERATION DUE TO A
    FIRE. WEAR SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS.
Unusual Fire/Explosion Hazard:HALON 1202 IS RELATIVELY TOXIC TO HUMANS
    AT LEVELS BELOW FIRE EXTINGUISHING CONCENTRATIONS. LOW LEVELS OF
    TOXIC AND CORROSIVE HALOGENS OR HALOGEN ACIDS ARE RELEASED IN FIRE
    SITUATIONS.

==================  Accidental Release Measures  ==================

Spill Release Procedures:EVACUATE THE AREA. WEAR SELF-CONTAINED
    BREATHING APPARATUS, VENTILATE ENCLOSED AREAS IN CASE OF RELEASE.

======================	Handling and Storage  ======================

Handling and Storage Precautions:TRANSFER FROM ONE VESSEL TO ANOTHER
    MUST BE DONE IN A MANNER TO PREVENT EXPOSURE TO CONCENTRATIONS IN
    EXCESS OF 100PPM. PROTECT CYLINDERS FROM PHYSICAL DAMAGE. STORAGE
    TEMPERATURE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 12 5F. CYLINDERS SHOULD BE SECURED
    FOR STORAGE WITH VALVE PROTECTION CAP IN PLACE.
Other Precautions:STORAGE AREA SHOULD BE WELL VENTILATED.

=============  Exposure Controls/Personal Protection  =============

Respiratory Protection:WEAR NIOSH APPROVED SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING
    APPARATUS IF CONCENTRATIONS ABOVE 1000PPM ARE EXPECTED. CONSULT
    ANSI STANDARD AND OSHA REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE USE OF
    RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT. AVOID PROLO NGED EXPOSURE TO EXCESSIVE
    CONCENTRATIONS.
Ventilation:MATERIAL TRANSFER AND HANDLING SHOULD BE CONDUCTED WITH AN
    EXHAUST SYSTEM.ALL INDOOR AREAS SHOULD BE WELL VENTILATED.
Protective Gloves:LINED NEOPRENE OR LEATHER IF FROSTBITE IS A
    POSSIBILTY.
Eye Protection:CHEMICAL FAFETY GOGGLES IF FROSTBITE IS POSSIBILITY. DO
    NOT WEAR CONTACT LENS
Other Protective Equipment:NONE
Work Hygienic Practices:ENSURE PIPING IS EMPTY BEFORE DOING MAINTENANCE
    WORK. PERIODICALLY CHECK CYLINDERS TO ENSURE VALVES ARE NOT
    LEAKING.
