SECTION 6 - HEALTH HAZARD DATA
Acute Effects of Overexposure: May cause irritation to the eyes, nose, throat and respiratory tract. Symptoms of
poisoning is increased salvation, blurred vision, constricted pupils, nausea, dizziness, vomiting and diarrhea.
Effects of Chronic Exposure: Prolong exposure may cause dermatitis.
Other Health Effects: Propoxur is a cholinesterase inhibitor. Antidote is Atropine sulfate, administer in large
therapeutic doses.
SECTION 7 - FIRST AID PROCEDURES
Inhalation: Move victim to fresh air. Give Artificial Respiration ONLY if required. Give CPR if there is NO breathing
AND NO pulse. OBTAIN MEDICAL ADVICE.
Skin Contact: Flush skin with running water and thoroughly wash with soap and water. If irritation persists seek
medical attention.
Ingestion: Give 1 to 2 glasses of water (200 to 500 ml) to dilute material. If spontaneous vomiting occurs, lean
victim forward with head down to avoid breathing vomitus. DO NOT induce vomiting. OBTAIN MEDICAL ADVICE.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person
Eye Contact: Flush eyes with running water for 20 minutes. Hold eyelids open during flushing. If irritation persists
seek Medical Attention.

Eye Protection: Safety goggles.
Skin Protection: Chemical resistance gloves.

SECTION 9 - ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION DATA
Spill and Leak Procedures: Eliminate all ignition sources. Stop leak, contain spill by diking and absorb with
suitable absorbent and transfer into waste container for disposal. Clean area with detergent and water, absorb wash
and place in waste container. Remove any contaminated soil for proper disposal.
Waste Disposal: Dispose of empty container in household garbage. Dispose of waste product in accordance with
Local, Provincial or Federal government regulations.
Environmental Effects: Do not contaminate local water supplies or environments. Toxic to bees and fish.
