Routes of Exposure: Eye contact, skin contact, inhalation and ingestion
Eye: Direct contact may cause mild acidic irritation, redness, tearing, and blurred
vision.
Skin: Prolonged exposure may cause minor acidic skin irritation. May be absorbed
through the skin.
Ingestion: If ingested, this material may cause irritation to the mouth, through and
gastrointestinal tract.
May be harmful if swallowed.
Inhalation: This material may cause irritation to the respiratory tract including injury or
illness.
Medical Conditions Aggravated By Exposure:
May cause more significant skin or respiratory irritation in people have pre-

Section 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
Eye Contact: Flush immediately with large amounts of water for at least 20 minutes. Eyelids should be held
away from the eyeball to ensure thorough rinsing. Do not allow victim to rub the affected eye(s).
Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin Contact: Immediately flush skin with plenty of water, for at least 15 minutes, while removing
contaminated clothing and shoes. Contaminated clothing must be laundered before reuse. Get
medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Inhalation: Safety remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing, then institute artificial respiration/rescue
breathing. If breathing is difficult, ensure clear airway and give oxygen. Get medical attention,
if difficult breathing, irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion: If swallowed, wash out mouth with water provided person is conscious. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical attention.

Suitable Extinguishing Media: Water Spray, Dry Chemical, Alcohol or All-Purpose Foam or Carbon Dioxide.

Section 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Personal Precautions: Use personal protection recommended in Section 8

Environmental Precautions: Do not flush to sewer. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to
waterways.

Methods for Containment: If product is released to the environment, take immediate steps to stop the release.
Caution should be exercised regarding personnel safety and exposure to the released product.
Vacuum or sweep up material and place in a disposal container.

Methods for Clean-Up: Clean up spills immediately under qualified supervision observing precautions in
Protective Equipment section. Avoid clean up procedures that generate dust or result in water pollution. After
removal, scrub the contaminated area with detergent and flush thoroughly with water. Absorb wash liquid and
place in the disposable container.

Other Information: Notify local authorities, if required. Spills of this material do not need to be reported to the
National Response Center.

Section 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and/or clothing. Minimize dust generation during handling and contact. Wash
thoroughly after handling and before eating, drinking, or smoking.

Storage
Store at room temperature in well ventilated area. Keep container closed when not in use. Product residue may
remain in empty container. Observe all label precautions until container is cleaned, reconditioned or destroyed.

Store away from oxidizers.
