ventilation is applied, a capture velocity of 100 to 150 fpm should be maintained. Local exhaust is
recommended during product mixing. Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are proximal to the
work-station location.

For possible off-gas: Formaldehyde
TLV/PEL

OSHA PEL: 0.75 ppm (8 hr. TWA)
2 ppm OSHA STEL ( 15 minute period)
OSHA action level at 0.5 ppm (8 hr. TWA)

Note: Simulated routine customer handling suggests that formaldehyde off-gas is unlikely to exceed any of
the above standards. Typical handling of VANCIDE TH yielded formaldehyde off-gas levels of <0.005 to 0.01
ppm for an 8 hour exposure (extrapolated). Because off-gas is affected by temperature, pH and plant-specific
controls, plant specific monitoring is recommended to establish compliance with the standard.

DEVELOPMENTAL TOXICITY: In a developmental toxicity study with rats, VANCIDE TH庐 was administered
by oral gavage at 10, 75, and 150 mg/kg. Under the conditions of the study, the product was not teratogenic.
The developmental No Observed Effect Level (NOEL) was 75 mg/kg and the Lowest Observed Effect Level
(LOEL) was 150 mg/kg.
REPRODUCTIVE TOXICITY Not available.
:
In unscheduled DNA synthesis in rat primary hepatocytes the material was tested at nine different dose levels
Remarks
ranging from 0.00003-0.1 ul/ml. It was found that the test material induced a dose-related increase in
unscheduled DNA synthesis. The material caused a significant increase in the mean number of net nuclear
grains, an increase of at least 5 counts over the solvent control, at 0.06 ul/ml. A reduction in cytoplasmic and
nuclear grain counts was also noted at 0.06 ul/ml.

Micronucleus Cytogenic Assay in Mice - Male and female IRC mice were given
hexahydro-1,3,5-triethyl-s-triazine using a single dose oral gavage administration. The dosages given were
25, 125, and 225 mg/kg. It was found that there was no significant increase in the number of micronucleated
polychromatic erythrocytes observed at 24, 48, and 72 hours after dose administration in male and female
mice. It was concluded that the material was negative under the conditions of the assay.
