commercially available dyes and pigments, generally at levels less

iron oxides (eg CAS # 001309-37-1), ultra marine blue
(CAS # 057455-37-5), and others, and other insoluble
metal salts at less than 5%.

4. FIRST AID

EYES: Flush eyes with plenty of water; remove contact lenses
after the first 1-2 minutes then continue flushing for several
minutes. Only mechanical effects expected.

SKIN: If molten material comes in contact with the skin, do not
apply ice but cool under ice water or running stream of water.
DO NOT attempt to remove the material from skin. Removal could
result in severe tissue damage.

INGESTION: No emergency medical treatment necessary.

INHALATION: Move person to fresh air; if effects occur, consult a
physician.

NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: If burn is present, treat as any thermal burn,
after decontamination. No specific antidote. Treatment of
exposure should be directed at the control of symptoms and the
clinical condition of the patient.

HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Under fire conditions polymers
decompose. The smoke may contain polymer fragments of varying
compositions in addition to unidentified toxic and/or irritating
compounds. Hazardous combustion products may include and are
not limited to: carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide. Hazardous
combustion products may include trace amounts of: styrene,
hydrogen cyanide.

OTHER FLAMMABILITY INFORMATION: Dense smoke is emitted when
burned without sufficient oxygen. Mechanical handling can cause
formation of dusts. To reduce the potential for dust explosion,
do not permit dust to accumulate.

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: Water, carbon dioxide, dry chemical.

FIRE FIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS: Keep people away. Isolate fire area
and deny unnecessary entry. Cool surroundings with water
to localize fire zone. Hand held carbon dioxide or dry chemical
extinguishers may be used for small fires. Soak thoroughly
with water to cool and prevent re-ignition.

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTERS: Wear positive-pressure
self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and protective
fire fighting clothing (includes fire fighting helmet, coat,
pants, boots, and gloves). If protective equipment is not
available or not used, fight fire from a protected location
or safe distance.

PROTECT PEOPLE: Spilled material may cause a slipping hazard.
Use appropriate safety equipment. For additional information,

PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT: Prevent from entering into soil,
ditches, sewers, waterways and/or groundwater. See Section 12,

HANDLING: Good housekeeping and controlling dusts are necessary
for safe handling of product. Workers should be protected
from the possibility of contact with molten resin during
fabrication.

STORAGE: Store in a dry place.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Provide general and/or local exhaust
ventilation to control airborne levels below the exposure
guidelines.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

EYE/FACE PROTECTION: Use safety glasses. If there is a
potential for exposure to particles which could cause eye
discomfort, wear chemical goggles.

SKIN PROTECTION: No precautions other than clean body-covering
clothing should be needed. Use gloves with insulation for
thermal protection, when needed.

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: In dusty or misty atmospheres, use an
approved particulate respirator.

EXPOSURE GUIDELINE(S): Although some of the additives used in
this product may have exposure guidelines, these additives are
encapsulated in the product and no exposure would be expected
under normal handling conditions.

ENVIRONMENTAL FATE

MOVEMENT & PARTITIONING: No bioconcentration is expected
because of the relatively high molecular weight (MW>1000). In
the terrestrial environment, material is expected to remain in
the soil. In the aquatic environment, material will sink
and remain in the sediment.

DEGRADATION & PEERSISTENCE: This water insoluble polymeric
solid is expected to be inert in the environment. Surface
photodegradation is expected with exposure to sunlight. No
appreciable biodegradation is expected.

ECOTOXICITY: Not expected to be acutely toxic, but pellets may
mechanically cause adverse effects, if ingested by waterfowl
or aquatic life.
