Incompatibility, Materials to Avoid: Oxidizer
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Combustible gases when exposed to
temperatures over 572掳F, 300掳C. These products may include
carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, acetic acid, and other organic
vapors.
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur.

7. ENVIRONMENTAL AND DISPOSAL INFORMATION:
Summary: This material has not been tested for environmental effects. It is a high molecular
weight polymer with low water solubility. Therefore, it is expected to have low
biochemical oxygen demand and to cause essentially no oxygen depletion in
aquatic systems. It is expected to have low potential to affect aquatic organisms,
secondary waste treatment microorganisms, and germination and early growth
plants. It is expected to be nonbiodegradable and unlikely to bio-concentrate. In a
spill situation this material may be visually unpleasant; however, it is not expected
to cause any adverse environmental effects.
Action to take for Spills/Leaks: Sweep up and discard.
Caution: Plastic pellets on the floor may be slippery and may cause falls.
Disposal Method: Bury in landfill or burn in an adequate incinerator following
applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

8. HEALTH HAZARD DATA:
Eye: Solid or dust may cause irritation or corneal injury due to
mechanical action.
Skin Contact: Essentially nonirritating to skin. Mechanical injury only.
Skin Absorption: A single prolonged skin exposure is not likely to result in the
material being absorbed through skin in harmful amounts.
Ingestion: May cause choking if swallowed. Single dose oral toxicity is believed
to be very low. Considered physiologically inert.
Inhalation: Vapors are unlikely due to physical properties. Single exposure to
dust is not likely to be hazardous.
Systemic and Other Effects: No relevant information found.

9. FIRST AID:
Eyes: Irrigate immediately with water for at least 5 minutes. Mechanical
irritation only.
Skin: If burned by contact with molten material, cool as quickly as
possible with water and see a physician for treatment of burn.
NOTE TO PHYSICIAN: Burns should be treated as thermal burns. The plastic will come off
as healing occurs. Therefore, immediate removal from the skin is
not necessary.
Inhalation: If symptomatic, remove to fresh air. Get medical attention if
symptoms persist.
Ingestion: No adverse effects anticipated by this route of exposure incidental to
proper industrial handling.

10. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
Preventive measures: None should be needed under anticipated conditions of use.
Special Precautions: Practice reasonable care and caution in handling.
Ventilation: Good general ventilation should be sufficient.
Respiratory Protection: No respiratory protection should be needed.
Skin Protection: Wear gloves to protect from thermal burns. Wear clean, body
covering, clothing. No other precautions should be needed.
Eye Protection: Safety glasses with side shields or goggles are recommended for all
industrial chemical handling.
