Special Firefighting Procedures: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus when fighting fires near this product
due to toxic thermal decomposition product. Keep exposed containers cool with water to prevent rupture.
Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: May decompose when in contact with flames, heating elements, or in gas
engines (extreme heat, open flames, glowing metal surfaces) and release irritating, toxic and corrosive gases.

SECTION 5 鈥? REACTIVITY DATA
Stability: Stable, avoid open flames and high temperature.
Incompatability: Strong alkalis and strong oxidizers. Avoid contact with strong alkaline and alkali earth metals,
finely powdered metals such as aluminium, magnesium or zinc and strong oxidizers since they may react with or
accelerate decomposition of this material.
Hazardous Decomposition Products: Hydrogen fluoride, carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide
Hazardous Polymerization: Will not occur

SECTION 6 鈥? HEALTH HAZARD DATA
EFFECTS OF OVER EXPOSURE
Eye Contact: Irritant. Vapor is irritating to eyes. Liquid is irritating to eyes and may cause tissues to freeze.
Skin Contact: Contact with liquid may cause tissues to freeze (frostbite); chemical itself is not irritating.

Other Toxic Effects: This product does not contain any components listed by NTP or IARC or regulated by OSHA
as a carcinogen.
Target Organ Toxin: Target organs affected by exposure to this material are eyes, skin, central nervous system,
respiratory system and heart.
Toxicity Comments: Dense vapour displaces breathing air in confined or unventilated areas. Inhaling concentrated
vapors can cause drowsiness, unconsciousness, respiratory depression and death due to asphyxiation. This compound
also increases the sensitivity of the heart to adrenaline, possibly resulting in rapid heart beat (tachycardia), irregular
heart beat (cardiac arrhythmia鈥檚) and depression of cardiac function. Persons with preexisting heart disease may be at
increased risk from exposure.

**************************************************************************

Refrigerant 134a has a low acute inhalation toxicity (4 hour l.c. 50 in the rat > 500,000 ppm). It is an eye irritant and
is not a skin sensitizer. Cardiac sensitization is seen in dogs at concentrations above 750,000 ppm after intravenous
adrenaline administration. Sub-chronic toxicity in rats is very low and the no-effect-level is 50,000 ppm. In vitro
(Ames test, saccharomyces gene mutation, cell transformation and human lymphocyte cytogenetics) and in vivo
(dominant lethal, rat bone marrow, micronucleus and DNA repair) genetoxicity assays were all negative.

EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
Eye Contact: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
Skin Contact: Flush skin with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Wash clothing before reuse. Get
medical attention. If frostbitten, warm skin slowly with water.
Inhalation: If high concentrations are inhaled, remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.
Ingestion: Ingestion is not considered a potential route of exposure. Product is a gas under normal conditions.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

SECTION 7 鈥? ENVIRONMENTAL AND DISPOSAL INFORMATION
Duster Spray (鈥淐anned Air鈥?) Page 3 of 4

Actions to Take for Spills/Leaks: Ventilate area-especially low places where heavy vapors might collect.
Remove open flames. Comply with federal, state and local regulations on reporting releases. Self-contained
breathing apparatus (SCBA) is required if a large spill or release occurs.
Waste Disposal Method: Reclaim by distillation if possible or remove to a permitted waste disposal facility in
accordance with local, state and federal regulations.

SECTION 8 鈥? HANDLING AND STORAGE PRECAUTIONS
Store in tightly sealed containers. Keep away from heat, sparks & open flame. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing.
Do not breathe vapour, mist or gas. Do not store or transfer to an unmarked container. Do not throw empty
containers in trash compactor. Do not store in direct sun. Store containers below 120潞F. Read label before using.
Empty containers may contain hazardous residue. Do not drop, reuse or refill container. Do not smoke around this
product. Do not cut, grind, or weld on or near container due to possible toxic fume generation.

SECTION 9 鈥? SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION
Respiratory Protection (Specify Type): Supplied air or SCBA in case of release or fire.
Ventilation: Local point exhaust sufficient.
Protective Gloves: Any lined non-permeable rubber gloves.
Eye Protection: Chemical splash goggles.
Other Protective Equipment: Non-permeable clothing to protect all skin from liquid contact.
