Updated:06/14/2006
Incompatibility (Materials to Avoid): Organic materials which may oxidize easily, e.g. sawdust, solvents or
surfactants.
Hazardous Decomposition or Byproducts: Extreme thermal decomposition could result in the formation of oxides of
carbon.

6 - Health Hazard Data
Route(s) of Entry (Evaluated by probability of entry occurring.)
Inhalation? Strong Absorption? Strong Ingestion? Unlikely
(Via Skin/Eye Contact) (With good hygienic practice)

Health Hazards (Acute and Chronic)
Acute and chronic health hazards are difficult to accurately assess for mixtures. In general, see
this and the 鈥淪igns and Symptoms鈥? section for acute effects. Long term effects would have to be derived
from these immediate results. Specific chronic effects can be studied from the individual hazardous
chemicals as indicated under Section 2 as the best guess without extensive laboratory studies.

Carcinogenicity
NTP? None known IARC Monographs? None known OSHA Regulated? None known

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure
Can cause strong skin irritation, severe eye and mucous membrane irritant.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure
A knowledge of the available toxicology information and the physical properties of the material
suggest that exposure is unlikely to aggravate an existing medical condition; however, chemically
sensitive individuals may develop a skin rash or irritation upon use, handling, or minor contact.
Due to the widely varying uses and personal exposures possible, an individual will have to
evaluate their particular situation.

Emergency and First Aid Procedures
EYES: Immediately flush eyes with water or eye wash solution for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention as soon as possible. FAST RESPONSE DURING THE FIRST MINUTE after
eye contact is critical for preventing possible permanent eye damage.
SKIN: Wash twice with soap and warm water for at least 15 minutes. If any pain or irritation persists, see
a doctor.
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air, give oxygen if needed, or artificial respiration to maintain breathing.
Get a doctor if indicated. Do not leave victim unattended.
INGESTION: Wash out mouth and other contacting parts with water. Never give anything to an
unconscious person. If conscious, DO NOT induce vomiting. Give one or two glasses of water,
milk or milk of magnesia.

7 - Precautions for Safe Handling and Use
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled
Dry material should be swept up. Clean material should be reused or saved for the next use.
Contaminated material should be swept up or shoveled up and placed in suitable containers for
disposal as required, by an authorized waste operation.

Waste Disposal Method
Since State and local laws and some Federal regulations vary greatly from situation to situation,
and since these materials are mixtures, no one preferred waste disposal method can be given.
However, one must keep in mind that these types of products, in a highly diluted or completely
neutralized state, present no particular environmental hazard and can be treated as ordinary waste and
discharged to a sanitary sewer. If a river, lake, stream, creek or watershed may contaminate drinking water
or well water, do not discharge the product or its effluent. Any discharge must be specifically permitted by
the proper authorities, such as DER, DEP or EPA, depending on your local and state laws.

Precautions to be Taken in Handling and Storage
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Do not subject product to excessive heat.
Do not mix with any other chemicals except under direct supervision of a chemist or
technically trained supervisor.
Do not allow contamination of product with any foreign material.
2
Updated:06/14/2006
Do not store in direct sun.
Keep container closed when not in use.
Do not exceed container integrity (i.e. improper double or triple decking of palletized goods).

Other Precautions
Keep out of reach of children. Do not contaminate foodstuffs. Mix only with water. Launder all
contaminated clothing before re-use. Discard any gloves, boots, and other articles that cannot be properly
cleaned. ALWAYS wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling or working with chemicals, especially
before eating, drinking, smoking, or using a rest room. Do not wear contact lens while handling this product.

8 鈥? Exposure Control/PPE

Respiratory Protection (Specific Type): Dust Mask.

Engineering Controls
Local Exhaust: Recommended
Mechanical Exhaust: Usually sufficient

Protective Gloves
Heavy duty pvc, rubber or similar type is recommended for repeated contact with use solution or
any direct contact with concentrate.

Eye Protection
Chemical splash goggles are always recommended, as are eyewash fountains where irritating chemicals are
being handled.

Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: NA

Work/Hygienic Practices
Always wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling or working with chemicals, especially before
eating, drinking, smoking or using a restroom. Launder dirty uniforms regularly.
