3. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Physical hazards:
None
Acute Hazard Symptoms:
Eye: Moderately irritating to the eyes. Vapors
may irritate the eyes.
Skin: Contamination of the skin, especially the
face, may result in initial stinging followed
by numbing which may persist for a few
hours.
Inhalation: Inhalation of spray may cause transient
irritation of nasal and buccal mucosa.
Health effects:
Tingling sensations may be felt in skin and mucous
membranes exposed to the chemical. Exposure to spray
mist may cause nasal irritation. Cyfluthrin has been
shown to be non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic, and non-
teratogenic in laboratory species. The product may irritate
the skin and eyes.
4. FIRST AID MEASURES
First Aid:
Exposure: In all cases consult a doctor!
If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Give a glass of water. If in
eyes, hold eyes open, flood with water for at least 15 minutes
and call a physician. If skin contact occurs, remove
contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. Remove from
contaminated area. Apply artificial respiration if not breathing.
Ingestion:
Call a doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip
a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting
unless told to do so by the doctor. Do not give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person.

If a person is overcome by excessive exposures to aerosols of
this material, remove to fresh air on uncontaminated area. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. Get medical attention as
soon as possible.
Eye:
Hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently for 15-20 minutes.
Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, and
then continue rinsing eyes. Call a doctor for treatment advice.
Skin:
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with
water and soap.
Advice to doctor:
Apply basic aid and decontamination procedures. Treat
symptomatically. There is no specific antidote. If vomiting has
occurred be aware of possible pulmonary pnenmonitis
originating from solvent in the lungs.

Engineering controls:
No engineering controls are required in the normal use of this
product according to label.
Personal protective measures:
Harmful if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes and skin; avoid
contact with eyes and skin.
Personal protective equipment:
When preparing and using the spray wear cotton overalls
buttoned to neck and wrist, washable hat, elbow-length PVC
gloves and face shield or goggles.

After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands,
arms, and face thoroughly with soap and water.
6. ACCIDENTIAL RELEASE MEASURES
After spillage /leakage/gas leakage:
Prevent spillage from spreading or entering waterways and
drains. Take up with absorbent material such as sawdust, peat
or chemical binding agent. Fill material along with any
contaminated soil etc, in to sealable containers. Clean affected
area with an aqueous detergent and a small amount of water.
Absorbed this with hydrated lime and place in sealable
container. Spread hydrated lime over the affected area. Do not
smoke, eat or drink during clean-up operation.
Disposal:
Full or leaking containers should be taken to a local disposal
company for biological treatment or incineration. Do not
contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Hazards to humans and Domestic Animals:
Keep out of reach of children. CAUTION- Harmful if absorbed
through skin. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with
eyes, skin or clothing. Wash hands before eating, drinking, and
chewing gum, using tobacco or using the toilet. Do not apply to
humans, their clothing or bedding. Do not allow children or pets
to contact treated surfaces until spray has dried. Do not
contaminate food or use on household pets. Cover fish tanks
prior to application.
Toxic to bees.
Other Precautions:
Do not apply this product in patient rooms while occupied or in
any rooms while occupied by the elderly or infirm. Do not apply
to classrooms when in use. Avoid contamination of food,
feedstuffs, or water supply. Do not contaminate food preparation
surfaces, kitchen utensils, dishes or feed storage containers.

treatment area should be covered during treatment or
thoroughly cleaned before using. Do not spray where electrical
short circuits might result, such as wall outlets, conduits.
Storage:
Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage. Store in
original container in secured, dry storage area. Prevent cross-
contamination with other pesticides or fertilizers. Do not store
above 35 o C for extended periods of time. If container is
damaged or spill occurs, use product immediately or dispose of
product and damage container.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONNAL PROTECTION
Eye protection requirements:
Splash- proof goggles or face shield should be used to prevent
liquid splashes from getting into the eyes.
Skin protection requirements:
Avoid skin contact. Use chemical resistant gloves, boots or shoe
covers, and apron to prevent dermal exposure.
Ventilation requirements:
Maintain exposure levels below exposure limits through use of
general and local exhaust ventilation.
Respirator requirements:
When needed, based on the conditions of use, wear a NIOSH-
approved organic vapour respirator with particulate pre-filter.
Additional protective measures:
Clean water and soap should be available for washing in case of
eye or skin contamination. Educate and train employees in safe
use of the product. Follow all label instructions. Launder clothing
separately after use. Wash thoroughly after handling.

weeds if bees are visiting the treatment area.

13. DISPOSAL CONSIDERATION
Disposal Methods:
Do not contaminate ponds, waterways or ditches with chemical
or used containers. Dispose of in facility permitted for
hazardous waste.
Container Disposal:
Empty container retains product residue. Triple rinse empty
containers, return rinse water to dilution mixture, and dispose of
dilution mixture as a hazardous waste if it cannot be disposed of
by use according to label instructions. Do not reuse container.
Offer if for recycling or reconditioning, or puncture and dispose
of in properly permitted landfill.
