3 HAZARD IDENTIFICATION

Avoid skin and eye contact, ingestion and major inhalation. May harm fish. Colbond 65 is
used hot so the temperature at which this material is used could cause serious scalds in
contact with skin

4 FIRST AID MEASURES

INHALATION:
Minor inhalation - NOT likely to be harmful.
Major inhalation (unlikely) - seek medical advice.

SKIN:
Minor splashes - remove from skin with suitable skin cleanser and wash with soap and
water. In cases of major contact with large quantities of material drench immediately with
cold water.

EYES:
Irrigate thoroughly with cold water and seek medical advice.

INGESTION:
(Unlikely) seek medical advice.

5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Bitumen emulsion will not burn.

6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

Shut off leak if without risk and contain. Absorb with sand or earth until set solid. Refer to
section 13 for disposal information.

7 HANDLING AND STORAGE

HANDLING:
Colbond 50, Colbreak, Colnet, Leotak, Leotak 30
Mechanical handling of palletised products reduces the hazards of manual lifting. Where
manual lifting is unavoidable use correct Kinetic lifting techniques.

When pump to/from bulk containers take proper safeguards against pressure build-up.
Check hoses and connections for serviceability. Excessive pumping may damage the
product.

Colbond 65
Wear heat resistant gloves and overalls and protective footwear. Protect eyes from
splashes by wearing goggles or visor.

Bulk tanks should be structurally sound and secure against accidental release.
Protect from frost.

8 EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION EXPOSURE LIMIT VALUES

There is NO Occupational Exposure limit in EH/40.

RECOMMENDED PROTECTIVE CLOTHING:
Wear suitable gloves to avoid injury during drum handling or contact with hot materials (if
applicable) and skin contact when applying, overalls, protective footwear, eye protection.
Use of barrier cream, before work, will assist subsequent cleansing.
