Application Guide
Surface Preparation
New timber :
Clean the timber using Feast Watson Woodclean. Allow the timber to dry completely before applying Decking Stain.
Timber previously coated with a penetrating oil or stain :
Sand surface and remove sanding dust. Clean with Feast Watson Woodclean. Allow to dry completely before applying Decking
Stain.
Not suitable for use on previously painted timber. These coatings must be removed completely by sanding, high pressure washing
or stripping. Then treat as for new timber.
Application Procedure and Equipment
Stir thoroughly with a flat paddle before and during use. If the job requires more than one can of stain, mix all together in one large
container prior to starting work.
Apply using a quality brush, applicator, roller or spray gun. If applying by spray, roller or applicator, back brush the product into the
timber to ensure even penetration of the stain.
One coat is sufficient for a semi-tranparent, stained matt effect.

Precautions and Limitations
Do not apply product if temperature is below 10C or above 30C. Drying times are given at 25C and 50% relative humidity. Lower
temperatures or higher humidity can lead to extended drying times.
