Application Guide
Surface Preparation
All timber surfaces should be thoroughly clean, dry and free from wax, oil, grease and other contaminants. Wash with mineral
turpentine if needed to remove wax and grease, allow to dry, and lightly sand dressed surfaces with "00" paper or finer, always in
direction of the grain.
For interior surfaces, fill nail holes with Water-based Wood Putty - do not use a linseed oil putty.
Porous timbers, such as Pine,should be sealed first with Fungishield to ensure an even finish
Application Procedure and Equipment
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer to maintain a uniform colour and solution.
Apply with a brush or lint free cloth. Let set 2-10 minutes, then rub with a cloth in a circular motion to remove the excess stain and
work the stain into the grain. Time left to "set" will depend on porosity of the timber and depth of colour required.Can be diluted, or
added to Fungishield to improve "workability" and reduce possibility of a patchy finish.
Allow overnight drying then apply two coats of Weatherproof or any other FEAST WATSON clear finish, with a light sanding
between coats.
Note: Final colour will be effected by the natural colour of the timber.

Precautions and Limitations
Do not apply product if temperature is below 10C or is likely to fall below 10C during the drying period.
Only apply to new timber or to timber from which all previous finishes have been removed.
Moisture content of timber should be close to equilibrium moisture content, usually 10-15%, but not exceeding 15%, for satisfactory
staining.
