Application Guide
Surface Preparation
All timber surfaces should be thoroughly clean, dry and free from wax, oil, grease and other contaminants. Wash with mineral
turpentine if needed to remove wax and grease, allow to dry, and lightly sand dressed surfaces with 180-240 grit paper, always in
direction of the grain. Remove any sharp edges on the timber by sanding. This will allow an even film build on the surface being
coated.
Application Procedure and Equipment
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer, to maintain a uniform solution.
Apply by brush straight from the can without thinning.
Brush along the full length of each board or surface to be coated in direction of the grain.
Apply at least 3 liberal coats to the timber allowing 24 hours between coats. Sand lightly between coats.
DO NOT OVERSPREAD THE PRODUCT.
For best results, all the timber should be coated with at least 1 coat to all surfaces prior to installation, which helps prevent moisture
ingress in to the timber.
MAINTENANCE - If any breakdown occurs in the coating, repair immediately. Minor degradations will spread quickly, leading to
extensive preparation and recoating requirements.

Offices. Health Effects: Splashes to eyes will
cause irritation. Prolonged contact with liquid is
harmful and inhalation of vapour and spray
mists may produce respiratory irritation and
headaches.

spraying wear a respirator with a combined
vapour/particulate cartridge.
Disposal Do not dispose down the drain. Refer to your
local council for correct disposal procedures

Precautions and Limitations
Do not apply below 10c, or above 35c, or if temperature will reach these levels within 3 hours of application. Likewise the Relative
Humidity should not exceed 85%
Do not apply if the temperature is within 3 degrees of the Dew Point during application or drying period
