CABOT'S Woodcraft is a penetrating water based stain to enhance natural timber features - adds colour and character.

Uses
Use CABOT'S Woodcraft on all interior timbers, panelling, cupboards, furniture, wet areas where it is desirable to stain then seal
with a hard clear coating.

Application Guide
Surface Preparation
All timber surfaces should be thoroughly clean, dry and free from wax, oil, grease and other contaminants. Oily woods should be
washed with methylated spirits to remove natural oils. Lightly sand dressed surfaces with 280 to 320 paper or finer, always sand in
direction of the grain.
Fill nail holes with CABOT'S Wood Tone Putty - do not use a linseed oil putty.
Application Procedure and Equipment
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use with a broad flat stirrer, to maintain a uniform colour and solution. To assist
application and reduce lap marks, dampen the surface with water prior to application.
Apply with a brush or lint free cloth. Let set 1 to 3 minutes, then rub with a cloth in a circular motion to remove the excess stain and
work the stain into the grain. Time left to "set" will depend on porosity of the timber and depth of colour required.
Allow two hours drying then apply three coats of CABOT'S Crystal Clear, with a light sanding between coats.

Precautions and Limitations
Do not apply product if temperature is below 10C or is likely to fall below 10C during the drying period.
Only apply to new timber or to timber from which all previous finishes have been removed.
Moisture content of timber should be close to equilibrium.
