POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS OF THIS PRODUCT:
INGESTION - ACUTE EXPOSURE:
POISONOUS IF SWALLOWED! Causes severe irritation and inflammation of the mouth,throat,
and stomach, followed by severe stomach pains, vomiting, diarrhoea, possible loss of
consciousness. Blindness or death may occur.

INHALATION - ACUTE EXPOSURE:
Highly irritating to upper respiratory tract, possibly causing inflammation of the lining of the nose,
throat and lungs.

INHALATION - CHRONIC EXPOSURE:
Extremely irritating vapours can cause bronchopneumonia and oedema.
Sensitisation is also possible.

SKIN - ACUTE EXPOSURE:
Contact causes drying, cracking, scaling with hardening or tanning after repeated exposure.

SKIN - CHRONIC EXPOSURE:
May cause contact allergic dermatitis.

EYES - ACUTE EXPOSURE:
High vapour concentrations or contact causes tearing and severe irritation.

EYES - CHRONIC EXPOSURE:
Contact may cause severe irritation or irreversible damage.

GENERALISED CHRONIC OVEREXPOSURE:
Chronic overexposure MAY cause liver and kidney damage and respiratory complications.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES:

EYES:
Quickly flush eyes with copious amounts of cold water for15 minutes while holding eyelids open.
Seek prompt medical attention.

SKIN:
Remove contaminated clothing and wash skin with copious amounts of soap and water.
If irritation persists, seek medical attention.

INHALATION:
Immediately remove victim to fresh air and restore breathing, if necessary. Stay with victim until
arrival of emergency medical personnel.

INGESTION:
IMMEDIATELY CALL FOR AMBULANCE AND TRANSPORT VICTIM (AND M.S.D.S.) TO
NEAREST EMERGENCY MEDICAL FACILITY!
DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING UNLESS INSTRUCTED BY A PHYSICIAN OR
AUSTRALIAN POISONS INFORMATION CENTRE ON 13-11-26

ADVICE TO DOCTOR:
TREAT SYMPTOMATICALLY -
CONSIDER ALL OF THE HAZARDOUS INGREDIENTS ON THIS M.S.D.S

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:

INITIAL PROCEDURES:
> Wear personal protective equipment (see Section 8).
> Eliminate any source of ignition, spark or open flame.
> Clear the area of all personnel
> Ventilate the area with local exhaust and fresh air source.
Large Spill:
> Wear personal protective equipment (see Section 8).
> Clear the area of all personnel
> Ventilate the area with local exhaust and fresh air source.
> Cover and absorb the spill with earth, sand or other non-flammable material.
> Place absorbent in covered container.
> Wash-down the spill residue with copious amounts of cold water prior to flushing to sewer.
(Note: Wash-down must be at a ratio of 1 to 10 [eg 500ml of fluid to 5 litres of water] )
Small Spill:
> Wear personal protective equipment (see Section 8).
> Ventilate the area with local exhaust and fresh air source
> Neutralise fumes with household ammonia spray.
> Wash-down the spill residue with copious amounts of cold water prior to flushing to sewer.
Disposal of Absorbent Material:
> Dispose of any absorbent material in accordance with local, state and national regulations.



7. PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE USAGE (HANDLING AND STORAGE):

SAFE USAGE AND HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
> Avoid, as far as practicable, inhalation of vapour, mists of fume generated during use of this
product.
> Avoid contact with skin and observe good personal hygiene.
> Avoid contact with eyes by wearing the appropriate eye protection (face shield or goggles).
> Wash hands thoroughly after contact and DO NOT eat, drink, smoke or attend to personal
cosmetics while working with this product.
> Take all necessary precautions against accidental spillage of any kind.

STORAGE PRECAUTIONS:
"THIS IS A COMBUSTIBLE PRODUCT"
> Store and dispense only in well-ventilated areas away from heat and sources of ignition.
> Store and use only in equipment/containers designed for use with this product.
> Containers must be properly labelled and kept closed when not in use.
> Do not remove any warning labels from containers.
> Empty containers may contain some residual product. Rinse container thoroughly with cold
water and do not remove any labels prior to disposal of container.
> Store in closed container, in cool, well-ventilated area between 10 and 38 degrees C.
> Check with local, state and national regulations concerning amount of chemical per square
metre of floor space allowed.
> Avoid contact with incompatible materials such as strong oxidising agents, acids and alkalis.

OTHER INFORMATION:
> Will present a flammability hazard if heated above the flash point designated for this product
(see section 5). Bulk liquids at normal storage temperatures will present virtually no
fire hazard.
> Product contaminated rags, paper or material used to absorb spillages represent a fire hazard,
and should not be allowed to accumulate. Dispose of safely immediately after use.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL /
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):
EXPOSURE STANDARDS:
Worksafe Australia "Exposure Standards" for specific ingredients found within this product are listed
in Section 2 of this data sheet. Safe Usage for this product are found in Section 7 above.

ENGINEERING CONTROLS:
A local fresh air source AND a local exhaust/ventilation system must be used together whenever
using this product to keep vapour levels below STEL and TWA levels.
Local exhaust/ventilation should be taken from floor level as a minimum value.
Fresh air source should be directed from ceiling level downwards towards exhaust/ventilation unit.
Recommended air exchange rate when using this product is 16-20 per hour.

PERSONAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT:
Respiratory:
If inhalation risk exists, or for overexposure, wear Australian approved organic vapour respirator
(full-face or half-face, or air supplied breathing apparatus).

Eye Protection:
Always wear safety glasses with side shields, chemical goggles or full face shield when using
this product.

Gloves:
Always wear chemical-resistant (Nitrile ) gloves when using this product.

Clothing/Boots:
Always wear chemical/splash-resistant clothing (sleeves to wrists-length to ankles) and rubber
boots when using this product.

The disposal of this product by any means must be conducted using extreme caution, and
must be carried out according to local, state and national regulations only!

SMALL DISPOSAL:
The disposal of this product in quantities of 1 litre or less must first be diluted with cold water at a
ratio of 1 to 10 (eg 1 litre of product mixed with 10 litres of cold water).

LARGE DISPOSAL:
The disposal of this product in quantities over 1 litre must be by incineration or other suitable
means under conditions set forth by local, state or national regulations, or via a licensed waste
disposal contractor.
