**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire or other sources of
ignition. Irritating to eyes, respiratory system and skin. May cause
sensitization by skin contact. Heating may cause an
explosion.Hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air).

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes eye irritation.
Skin:
Causes skin irritation. May cause skin sensitization, an allergic
reaction, which becomes evident upon re-exposure to this material.
Ingestion:
May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and
diarrhea.
Inhalation:
Causes respiratory tract irritation.
Chronic:
May cause reproductive and fetal effects. Nitrosamines have been
found to be carcinogens in laboratory animals.

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid
immediately.
Skin:
Immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes
while removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if
irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion:
Call a poison control center. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting
unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. Get medical
aid if cough or other symptoms appear.
Notes to Physician:

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases
may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. This
material is an explosion hazard when exposed to heat, mechanical
shock, or friction.
Extinguishing Media:
Use water fog, dry chemical, carbon dioxide, or regular foam.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Wash area with soap and water. Clean up spills immediately,
observing precautions in the Protective Equipment section. Sweep up,
then place into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid generating
dusty conditions. If the material is dry, explosives experts may be
necessary to dispose of the spill.

**** SECTION 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE ****

Handling:
Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid
contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion and
inhalation. Inform laundry personnel of contaminant's hazards. Avoid
percussion and friction.
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Do not store in direct sunlight. Keep
refrigerated. (Store below 4C/39F.) Keep container closed when not
in use.

**** SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION ****

Engineering Controls:
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped
with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate general or
local explosion-proof ventilation to keep airborne levels to
acceptable levels.
Exposure Limits
CAS# 80-11-5:

Personal Protective Equipment

Eyes:
Wear chemical splash goggles and face shield.
Skin:
Wear appropriate gloves to prevent skin exposure.

Wear appropriate protective clothing to prevent skin
exposure.
Respirators:
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29
CFR 1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Use a
NIOSH/MSHA or European Standard EN 149 approved
respirator if exposure limits are exceeded or if
irritation or other symptoms are experienced.
