YELLOW CRYSTALLINE POWDER. The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of
its aerosol and by ingestion.
Occupational exposure limits
TLV (as Cr): 0.01 mg/m3 (as TWA) A1 (ACGIH 1999). Inhalation risk
MAK: class III.1.Sh (1999) Evaporation at 20掳C is negligible; a harmful concentration of
airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly when
dispersed.

Effects of short-term exposure
Inhalation of dust may cause irritation.

Effects of long-term or repeated exposure
Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization.
Repeated or prolonged inhalation exposure may cause asthma.
Repeated or prolonged exposure may cause nasal ulceration.
This substance is carcinogenic to humans.
