IMPORTANT DATA
Physical State; Appearance Routes of exposure
WHITE OR GREY HYGROSCOPIC POWDER The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its
aerosol, through the skin and by ingestion.
Chemical dangers
Inhalation risk
Upon heating, toxic fumes are formed. Reacts with acids and
strong oxidants to produce toxic arsine gas (see ICSC 0222). A harmful concentration of airborne particles can be reached
Attacks many metals forming flammable/explosive gas (hydrogen quickly when dispersed.
- see ICSC 0001) and arsine.
