Overexposure may cause skin irritation or burns, central nervous system effects, liver damage and respiratory
sensitivity

Potential Health Hazards - Acute
Eye: Direct contact may cause irritation.
Skin: Direct contact may cause irritation and/or sensitization.
Inhalation: May cause irritation or respiratory tract.
Ingestion: Ingestion is not likely to cause injury.

Potential Health Effects - Chronic
None Known

Carcinogenicity: NTP IARC Monographs OSHA Regulated

5. Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point (method used): Not Flammable
Flammable Limits (% volume in air): Lower = NA Upper = NA
Auto Ignition Temperature: No data available
Extinguishing Media: Water may be ineffective in Fire Fighting as material in not soluble in water. Extinguish with water
fog, dry chemical, CO2 or foam.
Hazard Combustion Products: Acrid smoke-fumes/carbon monoxide/carbon dioxide and perhaps other toxic vapors
may be released during a fire involving this product.
Fire & Explosion Hazards: High temperatures, inhibitor depletion, accidental impurities, or exposure to radiation or
oxidizers may couse spontaneous polymerinzing reaction generating heat/pressure. Closed containers may rupture
or explode during runaway polymerization.
Fire Fighting Instructions: Do not enter confined fire space without full bunker gear including a positive pressure, NIOSH
approved, self-contained breathing apparatus. Cool containers exposed to fire with water.

6. Accidental Release Measures
Spill: Avoid personal contact. If spill is indoors, extinguish all ignition sources and ventilate area. Keep out of drains,
sewers or waterways. Take up with absorbentmaterial, place into non-leak containers and seal tightly for proper
disposal. Non-contaiminated product when properly inhibited is not a RCRA hazardous waste. However, when
contaiminated this product has the potential for internal heat generation.

7. Handling and Storage
Handling: Do NOT use localized heat sources such as band heaters to heat product. Do NOT use steam. If using
hot boxes or hot room, do not exceed 60o C or 140o F. Overheating may cause uncontrolled hazardous polymerization.
If it freezes, heat as indicated above and mix gently to redistribute the inhibitor. Material should be consumed in its
entirety after reheating as re-heats may affect product quality or result in product degradation.
Storage: Store containers tightly closed with adequate ventilation in a cool, dry area. Do not allow temperature to exceed
60o C or 140o F. Do not allow temperature to drop below 0o C or 32o F.

8. Exposure Controls / Personal Protection
Exposure Controls: Mechanical and local exhaust should be used for indoor use.
Personal Protection: Impervious gloves, chemical splash goggles, and protective clothing to minimize skin contact.

9. Physical and Chemical Properties
Appearance: Clear liquid
Odor: Methacrylate
Boiling Point: NA
Melting Point: Not applicable
Vapor Pressure (mm/Hg): No data available
Vapor Density (Air = 1): No data available
Solubility in Water: Negligible (<5%)
Specific Gravity (H20 = 1): 1.05
Evaporation Rate (n-Butyl Acetate = 1): <1

10. Stability and Reactivity
Chemical Stability: Stable, contains inhibitor.
Conditions to Avoid: Heat, flame, contaminants.
Incompatibility (materials to avoid): Strong oxidizers, radiation and other initiators.
Hazardous Decomposition or By-products: Acrid fumes emitted upon decomposition. Incomplete combustion will
produce unknown toxic substances.
Hazardous Polymerization: Could occur under normal conditions. Store at room temperature.

13. Disposal Considerations
Dispose of in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations. If uncertain of local requirements, contact the
proper environmental authorities for information on waste disposal in your area. Non-contaiminated product when
properly inhibited is not a RCRA hazardous waste. However, when contaiminated this product has the potential for
internal heat generation.
