SECTION 3: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
INHALATION Avoid inhalation of vapours. Use in a well ventilated area.
SKIN CONTACT Avoid skin contact. This product is corrosive and, if brought into contact with skin, causes burning, with the destruction
of the entire thickness of skin tissue. The product may also cause sensitisation of the skin.
EYE CONTACT Irritant. Avoid contact with eyes. If brought into contact with the eyes, the product causes severe irritation.
INGESTION Avoid ingestion. This product poses a serious health threat if ingested.
GENERAL COMMENTS This product is harmful following acute exposure.
SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
INHALATION Move the exposed person to fresh air at once. Ventilate the contaminated area. Keep the affected person warm
and at rest. Should the patient feel unwell get prompt medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT Remove affected person from source of contamination. Immediately remove clothing if soaked through.
Areas of the body that have - or are only even suspected of having - come in contact with the product must be rinsed
immediately plenty of running water and possibly soap. CONSULT A PHYSICIAN IMMEDIATLEY
EYE CONTACT Wash eyes immediately and thoroughly with running water while lifting the eye lids. Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes.
Following this, protect the eyes with sterile gauze or a clean, dry handkerchief. OBTAIN A MEDICAL EXAMINATION.
Do not use eyewash or ointment of any kind before obtaining an examination or advice from an ophthalmologist.
INGESTION Do not under any circumstances induce vomiting. OBTAIN A MEDICAL EXAMINATION IMMEDIATELY. Administer water
with albumen; do not administer. NEVER MAKE AN UNCONCIOUS PERSON VOMIT OR DRINK FLUIDS!
SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
EXTINGUISHING MEDIA Water spray, fog or mist. Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Dry chemicals, sand, dolomite, etc.
SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING If risk of water pollution occurs notify appropriate authorities. Containers in the vicinity of the fire to be kept cool.
PROCEDURES Breathing apparatus should be worn.
UNUSUAL FIRE & May develop highly irritating fumes if heated.

SECTION 6: ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
STEPS TO BE TAKEN IF Provide ventilation and confine spill. Do not allow runoff to sewer, ground or vegetation.
PRODUCT IS RELEASED Clean-up personnel should use respiratory, skin and eye protection. Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth
OR SPILT and place into containers. Rinse the area and the materials involved with water.
SECTION 7: HANDLING AND STORAGE
USEAGE PRECAUTIONS Avoid spilling, skin and eye contact. Ventilate well, avoid breathing vapours. Do not eat or drink while working.
STORAGE PRECAUTIONS Keep in cool, dry, ventilated storage and tightly closed containers.

SECTION 11: TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
OTHER HEALTH EFFECTS This product can cause burns by contact. Frequent skin contact may cause skin sensitisation.
HEALTH WARNINGS Vapour is harmful on prolonged exposure or in high concentration. Narcotic effect. No toxicological data are available
at the moment on the product itself. The concentration of each substance should be borne in mind in assessing the
toxicological effects deriving from the preparation.

TARGET ORGANS Eyes. Respiratory system. Skin.
MEDICAL SYMPTOMS Intense exposure to Xylene can cause; Dermatitis, eczema, irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract.
Inhalation can cause; Nausea, dizziness, disorientation, excitability, narcosis, anaemia and paraesthesia of the hands
and feet. Acute exposure to Xylene has a narcotic affect at high concentrations

BIO ACCUMULATION No experimental data are available, therefore adopt sound working practices so that the product is not released
into the environment.
