**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Limited evidence of a carcinogenic effect.Hygroscopic (absorbs
moisture from the air).

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
May cause eye irritation.
Skin:
Causes mild skin irritation.
Ingestion:
Ingestion of large amounts may cause gastrointestinal irritation.
May cause liver damage.
Inhalation:
May cause respiratory tract irritation. May cause liver damage.
Chronic:
Possible cancer hazard based on tests with laboratory animals. May
cause cancer according to animal studies. Chronic exposure may cause
liver damage.

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid.
Skin:
Flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes while
removing contaminated clothing and shoes. Get medical aid if
irritation develops or persists. Wash clothing before reuse.
Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4
cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Inhalation:
Remove from exposure and move to fresh air immediately. If not
breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. Get medical aid if cough or other symptoms appear. Do
NOT use mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. During a fire, irritating and highly toxic gases
may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion. Dusts may
be combustible when exposed to heat, flame, or oxidizing agents. Dust
can be an explosion hazard when exposed to heat or flame.
Extinguishing Media:
For small fires, use dry chemical, carbon dioxide, water spray or
alcohol-resistant foam. Water or foam may cause frothing. Use water
spray to cool fire-exposed containers.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Vacuum or sweep up material and place into a suitable disposal
container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and ditches which lead to
waterways. Avoid generating dusty conditions. Provide ventilation.
Clean up residual material by washing area with a 2-5% solution of
soda ash.

Handling:
Minimize dust generation and accumulation. Avoid contact with skin
and eyes. Avoid ingestion and inhalation. Use with adequate
ventilation.
Storage:
Keep from contact with oxidizing materials. Store in a cool, dry,
well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.

Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped
with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use process enclosure,
local exhaust ventilation, or other engineering controls to control
