3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION
HEALTH HAZARD: Prolonged and repeated exposure may lead to defatting of the skin and cause
inflammation. Aspiration of the ingested liquid or inhalation of mist may cause chemical pneumonitis.
ENVIROMENTAL HAZARD: Large spills may cause contamination of groundwater.
FIRE HAZARD: Toluene is highly flammable. Formation of explosible mixtures with air is possible.

4.2 Inhalation
Remove exposed person to fresh air. If symptoms persist obtain medical advice.
4.3 Skin contact
Remove contaminated clothes and rinse the skin with water. Wash with soap.
4.4 Eye contact
Wash eye thoroughly with copious quantities of water. If irritation persists consult a physician.

Do not induce voimiting unless directed by medical personel. Rinse mouth with water and consult with
physician.

Aspiration may cause chemical pneumonitis.
5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
5.1 Suitable extinguishing media
Foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide (CO2).

Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapours.
Either the liquid or vapor may settle in low areas or travel some distance along the ground or surface to
ignition sources where they may ignite or explode.

In case of respirable dust and/or fumes, use a self-contained breathing apparatus and dust impervious
protective suit.
