Section V - Health Hazard and First Aid

Can be fatal if absorbed through skin; can be fatal if inhaled; can be fatal if swallowed; can cause liver and
ACUTE EFFECTS:
kidney injury; may cause seizures, nausea, vomiting, air way obstruction and increased mucous secretions in
the lungs.
CHRONIC EFFECTS:Cholinesterase inhibitor, cause kidney injury, cause nervous system injury.
Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; assure adequate flushing by separating
EYE CONTACT:
eyelids with fingers. Get medical assistance.
Wash with water for 15-20 minutes. If no burns have occurred, use soap and water to cleanse skin.
SKIN CONTACT:
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If breathing becomes difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
patient has cardiac arrest, administer CPR. Continue life support measures until medical assistance arrives.
Rinse mouth with water insuring rinse is not swallowed. Drink 2 glasses of water to dilute and induce
INGESTION:
vomiting by touching finger to back of victim鈥檚 throat. Do not administer water or induce vomiting to an
unconscious or convulsing person. If patient is in shock, keep warm & quiet. Get medical assistance
immediately. ANTIDOTE: atropine sulfate in large therapeutic doses; repeat as necessary to the point of
tolerance. Do not use 2-PAM (pralidoxime chloride); do not use cholinesterase inhibiting drugs; do not use
morphine.
