Inform ation pe rtaining to pa rticular dang ers for m an an d env ironm ent:
The m aterial is a solid at room tem perature. As the temperature increases, the material exhibits softening
characteristics. Above its softening point, the m aterial becom es a liquid and flows m ore readily as the temperature
increases. If the material is used as a hot liquid, it requires caution in handling. At elevated temperatures well above the
softening point and in contact with air, the generation of hydrocarbon vapors including possible oxidized products may be
expected.
SKIN CON TACT : Contact with molten material can result in severe burns.
EYE CO NT AC T: D irect conta ct of m olten p rodu ct to the eyes will caus e therm al burns a nd e ye injury. Ex pos ure to
fumes, vapors or smok e from thermally degraded product can cause irritation to eyes.
INHALATION: Breathing vapors, fumes, or smoke from m olten material in confined areas can produce irritation of
respiratory tracts, and possible physical discomfort to sensitive individuals.
INGE STIO N: This m aterial is esse ntially inert and non-toxic. Reg ardless of this, the material should be han dled with care
and not be ingested.
Classification is in line with BC directive 88/379/EEC

Section IV FIRST AID MEASURES
EYES: Exposure to fumes, vapors or smok e of overheated SK IN: Ex posure to fum es, vapors or s m ok e of therm ally
product can result in irritation to eyes. Direct contact of the degraded product can result in irritation to skin. Direct
molten material will cause eye injury and burns. W hen con tact of the m olten m aterial will cause injury and b urns .
handling m olte n m ate rial, eye shields m ust be worn at all For burns apply running water to injured area for 15
times. Should an accident occur, flush eyes with generous minutes. Do not attempt to remove any material bonded
amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Administer to the skin. Call a p hysician to attend to th e injury.
prompt first aid measures. Call a physician to attend to the
inju ry.
INHALATION: Remove individual to a well ventilated area INGESTION: Ma terial is no t acutely toxic by ingestion. If
for fresh air and call a physician if respiratory symptoms m aterial is inges ted, do no t induc e vom iting. Ca ll a
warrant medical attention. physician.
