**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Highly flammable. May cause cancer. Toxic : danger of serious damage
to health by prolonged exposure through inhalation, contact with skin
and if swallowed.Hygroscopic.

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
Causes redness and pain.
Skin:
Causes skin irritation. If absorbed, causes symptoms similar to
those of ingestion. May cause dermatitis.
Ingestion:
May cause central nervous system depression, characterized by
excitement, followed by headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea.
Advanced stages may cause collapse, unconsciousness, coma and
possible death due to respiratory failure. Causes throat
constriction, vomiting, convulsions, and shock.
Inhalation:
May cause respiratory tract irritation. May cause adverse central
nervous system effects including headache, convulsions, and possible
death. May cause effects similar to those described for ingestion.
Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause defatting and
dermatitis. Prolonged or repeated exposure may cause adverse
reproductive effects. May cause liver and kidney damage. May cause
bone marrow abnormalities with damage to blood forming tissues. May
cause cancer in humans. May cause anemia and other blood cell
abnormalities.

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid
immediately.
Skin:
Get medical aid. Flush skin with plenty of soap and water for at
least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing and shoes.
Ingestion:
Do NOT induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4
cupfuls of milk or water. Possible aspiration hazard. Get medical aid
immediately. Wash mouth out with water.
Inhalation:
Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure to fresh air
immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Notes to Physician:

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. Vapors can travel to a source of ignition and flash
back. Will burn if involved in a fire.
Extinguishing Media:
Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers. Use foam, dry
chemical, or carbon dioxide. Water may be ineffective. Water may
spread fire.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Absorb spill with inert material (e.g. vermiculite, sand or earth),
then place in suitable container. Avoid runoff into storm sewers and
ditches which lead to waterways. Wear a self contained breathing
apparatus and appropriate Personal protection. (See Exposure
Controls, Personal Protection section). Remove all sources of
ignition.

**** SECTION 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE ****

Handling:
Use spark-proof tools and explosion proof equipment. Do not breathe
dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on
clothing. Empty containers retain product residue, (liquid and/or
vapor), and can be dangerous. Use only in a chemical fume hood.
Storage:
Keep away from sources of ignition. Store in a cool, dry place.
Store in a tightly closed container. Flammables-area.

**** SECTION 8 - EXPOSURE CONTROLS, PERSONAL PROTECTION ****

Engineering Controls:
Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped
with an eyewash facility and a safety shower. Use adequate general or
local exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below the
permissible exposure limits.
Personal Protective Equipment

Eyes:
Not available.
Skin:
Wear appropriate protective gloves to prevent skin
exposure.
Clothing:
Wear appropriate protective clothing to minimize
contact with skin.
Respirators:
Follow the OSHA respirator regulations found in 29CFR
1910.134 or European Standard EN 149. Always use a
NIOSH or European Standard EN 149 approved respirator
when necessary.
