CARBON MONOXIDE IS A CHEMICAL ASPHYXIANT, PRODUCING A TOXIC ACTION
BY COMBINING WITH THE HEMOGLOBIN OF THE BLOOD AND REPLACING THE
AVAILABLE OXYGEN. THROUGH THIS REPLACEMENT TH E BODY IS DEPRIVED OF
THE REQUIRED OXYGEN AND ASPHYXIATION OCCURS. TARGET ORGANS:
RESPIRATORY SYSTEM, BLOOD SYSTEM, CARDIOVASCULAR, REPRODUCTIVE
SYSTEM.
Effects of Overexposure:MOST SIGNIFICANT ROUTE IS INHALATION. SYMPTOMS
OF CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING CAN DEVELOP GRADUALLY, OR CAN ARISE
SUDDENLY, DEPENDING ON THE CONCENTRATION AND DURATION OR EXPOSURE.
LIPS AND FINGERNAILS WILL TURN BRIGHT RED, WHICH IS A SIGNIFICANT
SIGN OF CARBON MONOXIDE OVER-EXPOSURE. OTHER SYMPTOMS INCLUDE
RESPIRATORY DIFFICULTY, HEADACHES, SHORTNESS OF BREATH, WHEEZING,
BLURRED VISION, MEMORY LO SS, DIZZINESS, INDIGESTION, NAUSEA,
UNCONSCIOUSNESS AND DEATH.
Medical Cond Aggravated by Exposure:PRE-EXISTING RESPIRATORY
CONDITIONS, SOME DISEASE OF THE CARDIOVASCULAR SYSTEM (CORONARY
ARTERY DISEASE AND ANGINA PECTORIS)

First Aid:RESCUERS SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO RETREIVE VICTIMS OF EXPOSURE
WITHOUT ADEQUATE PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT. AT A MINIMUM,
SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS MUST BE WORN. IF ANY ADVERSE
SYMPTOMS DEVEL OP AFTER OVER-EXPOSURE TO THIS PRODUCT, REMOVE
VICTIM TO FRESH AIR AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. ONLY TRAINED PERSONNEL
