SECTION V 鈥? HEALTH HAZARD DATA
EYE CONTACT: May cause eye injury, which may persist for several days.*
SKIN CONTACT: Liquid is moderately irritating to the skin. Prolonged or repeated liquid contact can re-
sult in defatting and drying of skin.*
INHALATION: Vapors may cause irritation to nose, throat, and respiratory tract. High vapor concentration
may cause CNS (Central Nervous System) depression.
INGESTION: Poisonous if swallowed. Can affect the optic nerve resulting in blindness. Can cause mental
sluggishness, nausea, and vomitting leading to severe illness, possible death (in humans). *
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS: Irritation as noted above. Early to moderate CNS (Central Nervous System)
depression may be evidenced by giddiness, headache, dizzziness and nausea; in extreme cases unconscious-
ness and death may occur.
AGGRAVATED MEDICAL CONDITIONS: If used as packaged in this pen, there are none.
EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES:
EYE CONTACT: Flush immediately with water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention.
SKIN CONTACT: Wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult a physician if irri-
tation persists. Do not re-use clothing until cleaned.
INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. Restore breathing. Get medical attention.
INGESTION: Do not give liquids if victim is unconscious or drowsy. Otherwise, give 2 glasses of water
and induce vomiting by giving 3 tbsp. Syrup of Ipecac.*
Note to Physician: If victim is a child give 1 glass of water and 1 tbsp. Ipecac. If symptoms such as loss of
gag reflex, convulsions or unconsciousness occur before emesis, gastric lavage should be considered follow-
ing intubation with a cuffed endotracheal tube.
CARCINOGENICITY: This material is not considered a carcinogen y the N.P.T. I.A.R.C. or O.S.H.A.
*Defatting and drying of the skin may result in skin irritation and dermatitis.

STABILITY: STABLE CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Heat, sparks and open flame.
INCOMPATIBILITY: (Materials to avoid) Contact with strong acids, alkalis, or oxidizers.
HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: May produce carbon monoxide.
HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: WILL NOT OCCUR.
