Furadan 4F FOR DISTRIBUTION

AND USE ONLY IN
Insecticide-Nematicide NEBRASKA
For Agricultural or Commercial Use Only
EPA REG. No. 279-2876 ZA
EMERGENCY CALLS: 800-331-3148
IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL LAW TO USE THIS PRODUCT IN A MANNER
INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELING.
CROP PEST RATE OF APPLICATION
Sugarbeet root maggot, flea beetle larvae 1.8 to 2.4 fluid ounces per
Sugarbeets
and adults, wireworms, grasshoppers, thousand feet of row
leafhoppers, carrion beetle, and root aphid

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Apply at anytime from planting through the six leaf stage.
For pests that attack from seed germination to very early plant establishment, apply at planting
in a 5 inch band over the row, but behind the press wheel. Applications may be made in
combination with planting time banded herbicide treatments.

For later pests, apply alone or in combination with banded post herbicide treatments.
Treatments applied in narrow bands (5 inch) are most desirable due to the higher Furadan
concentrations in the root zone. Sugarbeet root maggot treatments should be made when
plants are small and before "peak fly hatch."

Operate application equipment to minimize drift and exposure to fine spray droplets.
Applications made within a few inches of the target and soil are least subject to drift.

Under sprinkler irrigation follow treatment with a light irrigation. Moisture after treatment is
necessary to incorporate and activate the Furadan 4F. Rainfall will be needed in furrow
irrigation fields to achieve best potential results. Fungicides, herbicides, or liquid fertilizers may
be tank mixed with the Furadan spray.

RESTRICTIONS:

Do not apply within 90 days of harvest.
Do not apply more than 2.4 fluid ounces per thousand feet of row per season.
Furadan spray solution must have a pH range of 5 to 6. The use of a buffering agent may be
necessary.

Check physical compatability of any tank mix before making up large quantities.
Do not use this product through any type of irrigation system.
Applications of Furadan 4F to sugarbeets should be made using U-Turn庐 returnable/refillable
containers that may be used as part of a closed mixing, loading and application system.

ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

This product is toxic to fish, birds, and other wildlife. Birds feeding on treated areas may be
killed. For waterfowl protection, do not apply immediately before or during irrigation on fields in
proximity of waterfowl nesting areas, or on fields where waterfowl are known to repeatedly feed.
Drift and runoff from treated areas may be hazardous to fish in neighboring areas. Do not apply
directly to water.

Carbofuran is a chemical which can travel (seep or leach) through soil and can contaminate
groundwater which may be used as drinking water. Carbofuran has been found in groundwater
as a result of agricultural use. Users are advised not to apply carbofuran where the water table
(groundwater) is close to the surface and where the soils are very permeable, i.e., well-drained
soils such as loamy sands. Your local agricultural agencies can provide further information on
the type of soil in your area and the location of groundwater.

ALL APPLICABLE DIRECTIONS, RESTRICTIONS AND PRECAUTIONS ON THE EPA REGISTERED LABEL ARE
TO BE FOLLOWED.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT AND REENTRY INTERVALS ON THIS 24C OR ON THE BASIC LABEL MUST BE
FOLLOWED.

THIS LABELING MUST BE IN THE POSSESSION OF THE USER AT THE TIME OF PESTICIDE APPLICATION.
