First Aid
Swallowed Contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre immediately on 13 11 26 (Australia)
or 0800 764 766 (New Zealand). Have person sip a glass of water if able to
swallow. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person.
Eye If in eyes, hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes.
Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing. If
irritation persists seek medical advice.
Skin If on skin or clothing, take off contaminated clothing. Rinse skin immediately with
plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. If irritation persists, seek medical advice.
Inhaled Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call 000 (Australia) or 111
(New Zealand) for an ambulance then give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to
mouth if possible. Call a doctor or Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26
(Australia) or 0800 764 766 (New Zealand) for further treatment advice.

Engineering Controls Use adequate ventilation to keep the airborne dust concentrations of this material
below the recommended exposure standard.
Personal Protection Eye/face protection: eye/face protection is not required, but is recommended in
manufacturing situations where contact may occur. Safety glasses with side shields
or goggles.
Skin and body protection: no special protective equipment is required under normal
workplace conditions. After using the product, remove clothing and wash before
reuse.
Respiratory protection: if airborne levels are high or product does not remain
intact, use a combination of engineering controls (e.g. ventilation) and personal
protection (e.g. approved respirator for dusts, mists and fumes.
General hygiene considerations: wash hands before breaks and immediately after
handling the product.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
Storage and Transport Store in the closed original container, in a dry cool well ventilated area out of
direct sunlight. Avoid bag breakage. Do not store with seed, feed or
foodstuffs.
Spills and Disposal Sweep up spilled material and return to the original container or to a well
marked drum. Wash contaminated equipment taking care that washings do not
enter sewers, drains and other waterways. Shred empty container and bury in
a local authority landfill. If not available bury the containers below 500mm in
a disposal pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of
waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots. Empty containers and product
should not be burnt.
Fire/Explosion Hazard The material does not present a fire or explosion hazard. If stored where a fire
occurs, dry chemical, water, carbon dioxide and foam may be used.
In a fire, thermal decomposition of urea will generate ammonia and
hydrochloric acid. Oxides of nitrogen and carbon are also possible.
