SECTION 3 (Hazards Identification)
EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Irritating to eyes, skin, and respiratory tract.
Rating under National Fire Protection 704: Health, 2: Flammability, 0: Reactivity, 0
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
INHALATION: High vapor and concentrations greater than the TLV are irritating to the respiratory tract and may cause
headaches, dizziness, anesthesia, drowsiness, unconsciousness, and other central nervous system effects. May cause liver and
kidney effects. May aggravate an existing liver, kidney, respiratory and nervous system disorder.
INGESTION: Ingestion of small amounts of this liquid may be drawn into the lungs by either swallowing or vomiting. This
may cause severe and delayed health effects such as inflammation of the bronchi. Ingestion may cause irritation of the digestive
tract and diarrhea.
SKIN CONTACT: Frequent or prolonged contact may irritate or dry the skin or cause dermatitis. Skin contact may aggravate
an existing dermatitis condition.
EYE CONTACT: Irritating to eyes. High vapor concentrations may be irritating.
SECTION 4 (First Aid Measures)
INHALATION: Remove victim to fresh air and provide oxygen if breathing is difficult. Give artificial respiration if victim is not breathing. Get
medical attention.
INGESTION: Do NOT induce vomiting. Use stomach pump. Get medical attention immediately.
SKIN CONTACT: Remove contaminated clothing/shoes. Flush skin with water. Follow by washing with soap and water. If irritation occurs, get
medical attention. Do not reuse clothing until cleaned.
EYE CONTACT: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting lower and upper eyelids occasionally. Get medical
attention immediately.
Employ first aid techniques as recommended by The American Red Cross.

SECTION 5 (Fire Fighting Measures)
GENERAL HAZARD: Containers can rupture and explode under fire conditions due to pressure and vapor buildup.
FIRE FIGHTING: Either allow the fire to burn out under controlled conditions or extinguish with water, foam, or dry chemical. Cool exposed
containers with water spray. Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent skin and eye contact in fire situations.
HAZARDOUS COMBUSTION PRODUCTS: Smoke, fumes, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, and possible
trace of carbonyl halide.
SECTION 6 (Accidental Release Measures)
LAND SPILL: Eliminate sources of ignition. For small spills, use absorbent material such as towels or absorbent powders. Put all material into proper
waste disposal containers with lids tightly closed. For larger spills, dike spill, recover free liquid, and use absorbent material to dry area. Put all material
into appropriate waste containers.
WATER SPILL: Check with local environmental agencies for reporting requirements.
SECTION 7 (Handling and Storage)
STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Store at ambient temperature. DO NOT STORE ABOVE 120 o F.
GENERAL: This product is stable and non-hazardous polymerization will not occur. Keep away from heat sources, open flame, other ignition sources
and direct sunlight. Do not store near strong oxidants or alkalis.
SECTION 8 (Exposure Controls / Personal Protection)
SKIN PROTECTION: Wear impervious protective clothing, including boots, gloves (Viton or Norfoil), lab coat, apron or coveralls, as appropriate, to
prevent skin contact.
EYE PROTECTION: Use chemical safety goggles and / or full face shield where splashing is possible. Maintain eye wash fountains and quick-drench
facilities in work area.
VENTILATION: None normally needed. For enclosed areas, the use of fans or other mechanical ventilation is recommended. Use half or full-face piece
organic vapor chemical cartridge or canister respirator when concentrations exceed the permissible exposure limits. Use self contained breathing
apparatus (SCBA) or full piece airline respirator with auxiliary SCBA operated in the pressure-demand mode for emergencies and for all work performed
in storage vessels, poorly ventilated rooms, and other confined areas.
