4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes
Immediately flood the eye with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eye open. Obtain
medical attention if soreness or redness persists.
Skin
Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Continue washing for at least 15 minutes. Remove
contaminated clothing as washing proceeds. Obtain medical attention if blistering occurs or redness
persists.
Ingestion
If article is accidentally swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.
Inhalation
Inhalation hazard is not likely with this product.
Advice to Physicians
Treat symptomatically.

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Acute Toxicity
(Citric Acid) Oral LD50 (rat) 6730 mg/kg.
(Stannous Chloride) Oral LD50 (rat) 700 mg/kg.
Chronic Toxicity/Carcinogenicity
(Stannous Chloride) In lifetime feeding studies, the incidence of cancers was unaffected in mice and
rats.
This product is not expected to cause long term adverse health effects.
Genotoxicity
(Stannous Chloride) Substance is readily taken up by human white blood cells and can cause
damage to DNA. Tests for mutagenicity in mouse lymphoma cells were negative. Test results for
cytogenetic effects in Chinese hamster ovary cells were positive for chromosome aberrations and
sister chromatid exchanges.
Reproductive/Developmental Toxicity
(Stannous Chloride) Moderate testicular degeneration was observed in Wistar rats fed 1% stannous
chloride in the diet for 8 weeks.
