SECTION 6 HEALTH HAZARD DATA * EFFECTS OF OVEREXPOSURE

Route(s) of Entry: Ingestion Inhalation Skin

Health Hazards (Acute):
Skin Contact: May induce hypersensitivity and elicit reactions on sensitized people.
Eye Contact: CAUTION: eye irritant. When VeroColor is mixed with developers (hydrogen peroxide), the
mixture may cause severe irritation and possible permanent eye injury.
Inhalation: Excessive inhalation of ammonia vapors may result in irritation of mucous membranes of the
respiratory system.
Ingestion: Non-toxic.

Health Hazards (Chronic): For purposes of chronic exposure under the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard,
this is an untested mixture. These products have been used extensively by consumers and Joico is not aware of any
significant adverse effects. None of the ingredients are carcinogenic or suspected carcinogens by NTP, OSHA, or
IARC.
Skin Contact: Skin irritant. Induce skin sensitization.
Eye Contact: Irritating to the mucous membrane of the eyes.
Inhalation: Irritating to the mucous membrane of the respiratory system . They may trigger asthmatic attacks
in sensitive individuals. Induce respiratory hypersensitivity.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Will be related to the primary toxic (pharmacologic)
effect of this material; pre-existing dermatitis would likely be made worse by skin irritant, bronchitis is aggravated by
irritant gases or particles in the air.

SECTION 7 EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Skin: Wash skin immediately with soap and water (do not use solvents). Change into clean clothing if spilled on
clothes. Should allergic reaction develop, consult a dermatologist.

Eyes: Remove contact lenses, if used. Flush with water for 15 minutes immediately. Get medical attention
IMMEDIATELY.

Inhalation: For any signs of breathing difficulty or shortness of breath, remove person to fresh air. Increase
ventilation. Seek IMMEDIATE medical attention.


SECTION 8 ENVIRONMENTAL DATA

Spill or Leak Procedures: Mop and flush with water. Floors can be slippery when wet. Wash floors with detergent
and water.

Waste Disposal Method: Disposal should be in accordance with all applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations.

Precautions to be taken in handling and storing procedures: Avoid contact with skin. Store in cool, dry, and
well-ventilated place. Do not store any tint after it has been mixed with developer; the container may rupture.

Other Precautions: None.


SECTION 9 SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION

Respiratory Protection: Under normal conditions of use, none required. When excessive and prolonged exposure
is anticipated, a NOISH approved chemical respirator is recommended.

Ventilation: Special ventilation not required. Ventilation should be adequate to avoid build up of irritating
concentrations.

Protective Clothing: Rubber or plastic gloves should be worn to avoid skin irritation.

Eye Protection: Under normal conditions, none required. Avoid contact with eyes.

Work/Hygienic Practices: Always follow good hygienic work practices. Avoid all skin, eye, and clothing contact. In
case of contact, rinse thoroughly with water. Promptly clean up all small spills.
