FIRST AID MEASURES
4.
Persons who have been in contact with the substance or have inhaled fumes should get immediate
medical attention. Pass on all available product information.
Eye:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes by separating eyelids with fingers.
Get medical help.
Skin:
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Persons who have been in contact with the substance or
have inhaled fumes should get immediate medical attention. Pass on all available product
information. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Inhalation:
Remove the affected person(s) to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. Do not use mouth to mouth respiration
Ingestion:
Wash out mouth with water if person is conscious. Make the affected person drink plenty of water.
Call a physician.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash point: 57 C (134.6 F) Liquid mp 鈥?430C, bp 171 deg C
0 0

Extinguishing media:
Dry chemical powder, chemical foam, and alcohol resistant foam. Do not use water jet or fog (spray)
to extinguish. Water can be effective in cooling down the fire-exposed containers. Use water spray to
knock down fire fumes if possible..
Special fire fighting procedure:
Wear full protective clothing, wear self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in fire situations.
Avoid unnecessary run-off of extinguishing media, which may cause pollution.
Unusual fire and explosion hazard:
When heated to decomposition it emits toxic vapors of nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide and carbon
dioxide.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
鈥? Eliminate ignition sources.
鈥? Keep upwind. Put on protective equipment before entering danger area.
鈥? Minimise number of personnel in risk area.
鈥? Stop leaks if possible.
鈥? Contain spillage by any means available.

鈥? Use low sparking hand tools and intrinsically safe equipment.
鈥? Recover spilled product in vented container fitted with absorption filter if possible.
鈥? Absorb liquid in sand or earth or any other suitable material, or cover with foam.
鈥? If substance has entered a water course or sewer, inform the responsible authority.
鈥? Ventilate sewers and basements where there is no risk to personnel or public.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
鈥? Store in cool dry and ventilated place away from heat, flame and sparks and incompatible
substances
鈥? Keep containers closed
鈥? Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection & use non-sparking tools.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION
鈥? Exposure Controls: Use explosion proof local or general mechanical ventilation. Facilities using
this chemical will need emergency showers and eye-wash facilities.
鈥? Personal Protection
鈥? General: Avoid inhalation and skin contact. Wash thoroughly after handling
鈥? Eyes: Use goggles and/or face-shield
鈥? Clothes: Standard laboratory or work clothing.
鈥? Gloves: Required
鈥? Respiratory Apparatus: Use an approved respirator if conditions demand. Experienced
personnel to wear positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) when fighting
fires involving this material.
鈥? Exposure limits:
鈥? No exposure limits from ACGIH, NIOSH or any other organisation is known to be available.
