Health Effects:
Acute
Swallowed: May cause gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The toxicological
properties of this substance have not been fully investigated. May be harmful if
swallowed.
Eye: This product contains a cationic dye. Similar dyes have caused permanent injury to the
cornea and conjunctiva in document exposure cases with human or rabbit eyes.
Skin: May cause skin irritation.
Inhaled: May cause respiratory tract irritation. The toxilogical properties of this substance have not
been fully investigated.
Chronic: No information found.
First Aid:
Swallowed: If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4 cupfuls of milk or water. Never give anything by
mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical aid.
Eye: Flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, occasionally lifting the upper and
lower eyelids. Get medical aid. SWIFT ACTION IS CRITICAL!
Skin: Flush skin with plenty of soap and water. Get medical aid if irritation develops or persists.
Inhaled: Remove from exposure to fresh air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial
respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Get medical aid.

Engineering Controls: Facilities storing or utilizing this material should be equipped with an eyewash facility and
a safety shower. Use adequate ventilation to keep airborne concentrations low.
Personal Protection: Wear appropriate protective eyeglasses or chemical safety goggles as described by
OSHA's eye and face protection regulations. Wear appropriate protective clothing to
prevent skin exposure. A respiratory protection program that meets OSHA's requirements
and standards must be followed whenever workplace conditions warrant a respirator's use.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
Storage and Transport: Wash thoroughly after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Use with adeqate ventilation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. Avoid ingestion
and inhalation. Store protected from light. Keep containers tightly closed in a cool, dry
area away from incompatible substances.
Spills and Disposal: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated in Personal Protection Section.
Sweep up, then place powder into a suitable container for disposal. Avoid generating
dusty conditions. Provide ventilation.
Fire/Explosion Hazard: As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand,
MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full protective gear. During a fire, irritating
and highly toxic gases may be generated by thermal decomposition or combustion.
Extinguishing media: In case of fire, use water, dry chemical, chemical foam, or alcohol-
resistant foam.
