6. HEALTH HAZARD INFORMATION

Routes of Entry: Skin and eye contact, skin absorption, acute inhalation and ingestion.
Effects of Overexposure: May cause loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, general tenseness and muscular weakness, and
prolonged or repeated exposure may lead to liver or kidney damage or central nervous system symptoms.
Exposure Limits: For 2,4-D acid TLV - TWA 10 mg/m3. For Dimethylamine 18 mg/m3.
Irritancy of Product: Eyes: Marked irritation and corneal injury may occur.
Sensitization of Material: Pre-existing skin or respiratory disorders may be aggravated by excessive exposure to this material.
Carcinogenicity: n/e

7. PREVENTATIVE MEASURES
Respiratory Protection: If vapours may exceed acceptable levels, wear MSHA/NIOSH approved respirator or mask for protection
against pesticide mists and vapours.
Eyes: Goggles or Face Shield Gloves: Rubber or Impervious Footwear: Rubber or Impervious
Clothing: Coveralls or Impervious apron when handling concentrate. Other: Work in well ventilated area.
Engineering Control: Use mechanical exhaust if ventilation not adequate.

Leak & Spill Procedures: Contain spill, absorb liquid by covering with clay or other absorbent material; vacuum, scoop or sweep up
wastes and place in container for disposal. Contact the manufacturer and the provincial regulatory agency in case of a spill, and for
clean-up of spills.

Waste Disposal: For more information on the disposal of unused, unwanted product and the cleanup of spills, contact the provincial
regulatory agency or the manufacturer.

Storage Requirements: Do not store near fertilizers, insecticides or fungicides. Protect from freezing.

8. FIRST AID MEASURES
Take container, label or product name and Pest Control Product Registration Number with you when seeking medical attention.
If On Skin: Remove all contaminated clothing. Wash skin and hair thoroughly with soap and water. Wash clothing before reuse. If
irritation persists, get medical attention.
If In Eyes: Flush with running water for at least 15 minutes while holding eyelids open to help flush out material. Get medical
attention.
Ingestion: Drink 1 - 2 glasses of water and induce vomiting. Never induce vomiting or give anything by mouth to an unconscious
person. Keep head lower than chest to avoid aspiration into lungs. Call physician immediately or contact a poison control centre.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen; if breathing stops administer artificial respiration. Get
medical attention immediately.
