MPE/iX Right to Use license (AD377A) information sheet
The MPE/iX Right to Use License (RTU) product is initially intended for customers who are planning to do
a same system upgrade for their existing HP e3000 hardware system. The purchase of this product,
combined with meeting the hardware requirements listed below, will ensure that the current installation of
MPE/iX is properly licensed.
鈥? A system being upgraded must match an allowable upgrade path as supported by HP. This upgrade
path information can be found at http://www.hp.com/products1/evolution/e3000/products.html.
Upgrades not on the supported path list will not qualify for an MPE/iX license.
鈥? System upgrades will only be authorized if using a genuine HP e3000 chassis with an HP e3000
bezel (nameplate).
鈥? When making the necessary system upgrade, changes to internal stored hardware model and
licensing definitions need to be performed by HP or HP-authorized personnel in order for the MPE/iX
RTU license to be effective.
If the above conditions have been met or will be met, this system is then authorized by HP to use the
MPE/iX RTU license.
If there is a difficulty in meeting the above conditions for the HP e3000 system upgrade, please contact
HP to discuss options for acquiring the MPE/iX RTU license.
After the upgrade is complete, it is important that all pertinent support contracts are reviewed to verify
that the proper level of support is valid with the upgraded system.
Customers also need to ensure that any other third-party software licenses and HP software (non-MPE/iX)
licenses have the right license levels, based on the newly upgraded hardware configuration.

IMAGE/SQL, and ALLBASE/SQL) Right to Use licenses (HP P/N AD377A, Level 1 through Level 7).
