Health Hazards (Resulting From Misuse or Overexposure):
Eye Contact: Can cause severe irritation, redness, swelling, tearing.
Skin Contact: Repeated or prolonged contact may cause mild skin irritation including
redness and burning.
Inhalation: At room temperature, exposure to vapors are minimal due to physical
properties; higher temperatures may generate vapor levels sufficient to
cause irritation and other effects.
Symptoms of Exposure:
Gastrointestinal irritation (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), irritation (nose, throat, respiratory tract).
Target Organs Effected:
This product contains ethanol. Alcoholic beverage consumption has been associated with brain
damage, heat damage, and pancreatitis in humans. The relevance of these findings to ethanol
exposure in industrial environments is uncertain. Overexposure to this material has been
suggested as a cause of the following effects in laboratory animals, and may aggravate pre-
existing disorders of these organs in humans: liver abnormalities. Overexposure to this material
(or it's components) has been suggested as a cause as a cause of the following effects in
humans; liver abnormalities, eye damage.
Cancer Information:
This product contains ethanol. IARC has determined that exposure to ethanol through chronic
human consumption of alcoholic beverages can cause cancer. The relevance of this finding to
ethanol in industrial environments is uncertain.
Emergency First Aid Procedures:
Eye Contact: Immediately rinse with clean water for 20-30 minutes. Retract eyelids
often. Obtain emergency medical attention.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with mild
soap/water. Flush with lukewarm water for 15 minutes. If sticky, use
waterless cleaner first. Get medical attention if irritation develops.

Inhalation: If affected, remove individual to fresh air. If breathing is difficult,
administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration.
Keep person warm, quiet, and get medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Risk of damage to lungs exceeds poisoning
risk. Obtain emergency medical attention.
Section 6. Control and Protective Measures
Respiratory Protections (Specific Type):
If workplace exposure limits of product is exceeded (see Toxicological Data) a NIOSH/MSHA
approved air supplied respirator is advised in absence of proper environmental controls. OSHA
regulations also permit other NIOSH/MSHA respirators (negative pressure type) under specified
conditions (see you industrial hygienist). Engineering or administrative controls should be
implemented to reduce exposure.
Protective Gloves: Use chemical resistant gloves, if needed, to avoid prolonged or repeated skin contact.
Eye Protection: Eye protection, including both chemical splash goggles and face shield, must be worn when
possibility exists for eye contact due to spraying liquid or airborne particles. Contact lenses
must not be worn.
Ventilation to be Used:

Use only with ventilation sufficient to prevent exceeding recommended exposure limit or buildup
of explosive concentrations of vapor in air. No smoking, flames, or other ignition sources.
