Section 3 鈥? Hazards Identification
Item CAS Number EINECS Number Exposure Limits
These are no potential health effects expected from handling this material. Good manufacturing practices are always recommended
when handling any chemicals. There are no significant laboratory data to suggest any hazard to humans.

Eyes: Direct eye contact may cause temporary discomfort with mild redness and dryness similar to windburn.
Skin: A single prolonged exposure (24 鈥? 48 hours) causes no known adverse effect.
Inhalation: No irritation to respiratory passages is expected from relatively short exposures of less than 8 hours.
Oral: Small amounts transferred to the mouth by fingers during use should not injure. Swallowing large amounts may
cause digestive discomfort.

Repeated exposure effects:
Skin: None known.
Inhalation : None known.
Oral: None known.

Comments: Laboratory rodents repeatedly exposed to octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane and decamethylcyclopentasiloxane by
inhalation or ingestion developed increased liver weight when compared to the control rodents. However, no gross or histopathological
liver weights were noted. We recommend using good manufacturing practices and avoiding inhalation or ingestion of this material.

Section 4 鈥? First Aid Measures
In case of swallowing: No first aid should be needed. If discomfort occurs, obtain medical attention. Wash out mouth
thoroughly with water; Do not induce vomiting; seek medical attention.
In case of inhalation: Short-term harmful health effects are not expected from vapor generated at ambient
temperatures. If first aid is required, remove to fresh air; symptomatic treatment.
In case of contact with eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; seek medical attention.
In case of contact with skin: Wash with plenty of water; if irritation persists or develops, seek medical attention. Remove
contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.

Comments: Treat symptomatically.

Section 5 鈥? Fire Fighting Measures
Flash Point: 76掳C
Auto-ignition Temperature: No determined.
Flammability Limits in Air: Not determined.
Extinguishing Media: Use medium expansion (>30:1) AFFF alcohol compatible foam or water spray.
Fire Fighting Procedures: Self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing should be worn in fighting fires involving
chemicals.
Unusual Fire Hazards: Static electricity will accumulate and may ignite vapors. Prevent a possible fire hazard by bonding
and grounding or inert gas purge. Vapors are heavier than air and may travel to a source of
ignition and flash bonding and grounding or inert gas purge. Vapors are heavier than air and may
travel to a source of ignition and flash back.
Hazardous Decomposition
Products: Silicon dioxide. Carbon oxides and traces of incompletely burned carbon compounds.
Formaldehyde.

Section 6 - Accidental Release Measures
Containment/Clean Up: Sections 13 and 15 of this MSDS provide information regarding certain Federal and local requirements.
Collect for disposal. Clean up remaining materials from spill with suitable absorbent. For large spills provide diking or other appropriate
containment to keep material from spreading. If diked material can be pumped, store recovered material in appropriate container.
Clean area as appropriate since some silicone material, even in small quantities, may present a slip hazard. Final cleaning may
requirement steam, solvents, or detergents. Observe all personal protection equipment recommendations described in Sections 5 and
8 of this MSDS. Observe all Federal, Provincial and local regulations that may apply to the clean up of this material.

Section 7 鈥? Handling and Storage
Handling: Safety Glasses and PVC Gloves.
Storage: Keep container closed and away from heat, sparks and open flame.

Section 8 鈥? Exposure Controls/ Personal Protection
Engineering Controls: Local Exhaust: Recommended
General Ventilation: Recommended.

Personal Protective Equipment for Routine Handling
Eyes: Use proper protection 鈥? safety glasses as a minimum
Skin: Washing at mealtime and end of shift is adequate.
Suitable Gloves: No special protection is needed.
Inhalation: Use respiratory protection unless adequate local exhaust ventilation is provided or air sampling data show
exposures are within recommended exposure guidelines.
Suitable Respirator: Organic vapor type.

Personal Protective Equipment for Spills
Eyes: Use proper protection 鈥? safety glasses as a minimum
Skin: Washing at mealtime and end of shift is adequate.
Inhalation/Suitable
Respirator: Use respiratory protection unless adequate local exhaust ventilation is provided or air sampling data show
exposures are within recommended exposure guidelines.
Precautionary Measures: Avoid eye contact. Avoid breathing. Keep container closed.

Note: These precautions are for room temperature handling. Use at elevated temperatures or aerosol spray
applications may require added precautions.
