Extinguishing Media: Suitable extinguishing agents. CO2, extinguishing powder or water spray.

Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Fight larger fires with water or alcohol resistant foam. Firefighters should wear
protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus. As with most organic solids, fire is possible at elevated
temperatures or by contact with an ignition source.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: During heating or in case of fire, poisonous gases are produced. Fine dust
dispersed in air in sufficient concentrations, and in the presence of an ignition source is a potential dust explosion hazard.

Signs and Symptoms of Exposure: Irritant to skin and mucous membranes. Irritating effect to eye. Magnesium Sulfate
can cause Central Nervous System depression. Magnesium Sulfate dust may be slightly irritating. Sore throat or
coughing may occur. May be harmful if swallowed, inhaled, or absorbed through the skin.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Because magnesium salts are slowly absorbed, abdominal
pain, vomiting, and diarrhea may be the only symptoms. However, if elimination is blocked, CNS depression, lack of
reflexes, hypocalcemina may occur.
Ingestion: If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Inhalation: In case of unconsciousness, place patient on side position for transportation. Supply fresh
Procedures:
air or oxygen. Seek medical attention.
Eye Contact: Rinse opened eye for at least 15 minutes under running water. Seek medical attention.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Wash with plenty of soap and water for at
least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.

Section VII 鈥? Precautions for Safe Handling and Use
Accidental Release Measures: Ventilate spill area. Wear suitable protective clothing, and remove contaminated
clothing immediately. Flush spill area with water. Wipe up with damp sponge or mop. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and
clothing.
Waste Disposal Method: Dispose in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

Handling and Storing: Keep container tightly closed. Protect from moisture. Store away from oxidizing agents. Do not
store together with reducing agents, heavy-metal compounds, acids, and alkaline substances. Containers of this material
may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues.
Other Precautions: Prevent formation of dust. Avoid breathing dust. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure. Ensure
good ventilation / exhaustion at the workplace.
