4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Not applicable- product is a gel.
Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing and wash the contact area with flowing
water and soap. Launder clothing before reuse.
Eye Contact: Exposure is unlikely. The product may cause slight irritation to the eyes,
reversible within 24hrs. Hold eyes open and rinse slowly and gently with
flowing water for at least 15mins. If eye irritation persists, seek medical
attention.
Ingestion: If suspected poisoning occurs, call the Poisons Information Centre on
131126 or a doctor, for advice on treatment.
Advice to Doctor: No specific antidote is available. Treatment is both symptomatic and
supportive.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE/ SPILLS MEASURES
Avoid contact with spilled material or contaminated surfaces. Keep people and animals away. Prevent
spillage from entering drains, sewers or watercourses. If contamination thereof is unavoidable, warn the local
water authority. Spills should be contained and absorbed with soil, sand, sawdust, clay, cat litter or other
similar material, and once absorption is complete, this material then be placed in sealable, labeled, drums for
safe disposal in an approved landfill, and in accordance with the requirements of local or State Waste
Management Authorities. Small spills should be wiped up with a damp cloth while still wet, wrapped in
newspaper or similar, and disposed of in an approved landfill. Alternatively, bury under at least 500mm of soil
in an area away from crops, pastures, homes or water sources. To decontaminate spill area, tools and
equipment, wash with a suitable solution, e.g. organic solvent, detergent, bleach or caustic, and add this
material to the drums of waste already collected. Label all contents. Do not burn empty containers or product.

Handling: Keep out of reach of children. Wash hands and exposed skin before
eating, drinking or smoking, and after using the product. Launder all
contaminated clothing thoroughly before re-use.
Storage: Store product in original packing in a dry, cool, well ventilated area away
from sources of heat or ignition. Store away from fertilizers, seed, feed
and food. Keep out of reach of children, unauthorized persons and
animals.

photodegradation, with a half-life of 12 hours in water. Plants do not
absorb Abamectin from soil.
