EMERGENCY OVERVIEW

CAUTION. May cause skin irritation. Harmful or fatal if swallowed.
Injection of pressurized hydrocarbons into skin can cause severe,
permanent tissue damage.

Primary Route of Entry: Skin contact

Acute/Potential Health Effects:

EYES: May cause mild eye irritation. Symptoms include stinging, tearing and redness.

SKIN: May cause mild skin irritation. Prolonged or repeated contact may dry the skin.
Injection can cause severe, permanent tissue damage.

INHALATION: Repeated or prolonged overexposure to product mists can result in respira-
tory tract inflammation and an increased risk of infection.

INGESTION: Harmful or fatal if swallowed. Aspiration hazard - this material can enter
lungs during swallowing or vomiting and cause lung inflammation and damage.

Section 3: HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION - continued:

Chronic / Long Term Effects: Reports have associated repeated and prolonged occupational
overexposure to solvents with permanent brain and nervous system damage.

Signs and Symptoms of Overexposure: Hydrocarbons injected into skin are not readily
removed by body fluids and can cause pain, swelling, chemical irritation, infection
and tissue destruction. Early symptoms may be minimal.

Target Organ Effects: No data.

Reproductive/Developmental Information: No data.

Carcinogenic Information: This material is not listed as a carcinogen by IARC, NTP or
OSHA.

Section 4: FIRST AID MEASURES

EYES: Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
Get medical attention immediately.

SKIN: Immediately flush skin with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention if irritation persists. In case of injection, seek medical attention
immediately.

INHALATION: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.
If breathing is difficult, give oxygen.

INGESTION: Seek medical attention immediately. Aspiration hazard: Do not induce
vomiting or give anything by mouth because this material can enter the lungs and
cause severe lung damage. Do not leave individual unattended.
