3. HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW: A clear, water white to pale yellow liquid with a mild odor.
Causes irritation to eyes and skin. May be harmful if swallowed. Combustible.
POTENTIAL HEALTH HAZARDS

SKIN: Slightly irritating to the skin.

EYES: Moderately irritating to the eyes.

INHALATION: Excessive exposure to vapor may cause dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, vomiting or
headaches.

INGESTION: May be harmful if swallowed.

DELAYED EFFECTS: Repeated or prolonged exposure to vapors may cause central nervous system
depression, and decreased male fertility. Repeated or prolonged dermal contact may
cause decreased male fertility. Ingestion may cause developmental effects.

4. FIRST AID MEASURES

SKIN: Wash with large volumes of soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

EYES: Flush with large volumes of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention.

INHALATION: Remove person to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give
oxygen provided a qualified individual is present. Get medical attention.

INGESTION: If conscious, give person 1 to 2 glasses of water. Get medical attention immediately.

ADVICE TO PHYSICIAN: Treat symptomatically.

7. HANDLING AND STORAGE

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing mists and vapors. Avoid prolonged and repeated
exposure. Do not smoke or eat in handling areas. Use appropriate personal protective equipment. Do not wear
contact lenses when working with this material.

STORAGE RECOMMENDATIONS:
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Outside or detached storage is preferred. Separate from oxidizers. Keep
containers tightly closed.

screening study in rats expressed a lower mean fetal body weight at 100 mg/kg/day.
