Dissolve in water, using caution as solution may increase in temperature. Neutralize with acid and flush to sewer if in
accordance with applicable federal, state and local government regulations. Good ventilation is required during
neutralization due to the release of SO2 gas. Oxidation to sodium sulfate solution may be required, as for example by
adding a slight excess hydrogen peroxide carefully and stirring. Neutralized waste may have to be disposed of by a
contractor.
