Health Hazards: Eye Contact: Liquid and vapor may cause irritation. Splashes may cause temporary
pain and blurred vision.
Skin Contact: May cause irritation, cracking, flaking and defatting of skin. Avoid contact
with damaged skin. Prolonged contact with propellant may cause
frostbite.
Inhalation: May cause irritation to mucous membranes of the upper respirator tract.
Excess exposure may cause headache, drowsiness, and inability to
concentrate. Prolonged inhalation of propellant may cause asphyxiation
by displacement.
Ingestion: Can cause depression of Central Nervous System, nausea, vomiting,
intoxication, liver damage, and diarrhea.
Chronic Effects: None known
Emergency First Aid Procedures:
Eye Contact: Irrigate with gently flowing water immediately and continuously for up to 15
minutes while holding eyelids open. Consult physician if irritation persists.
Skin Contact: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Consult physician if
irritation persists. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse. If frostbite
occurs, gently warm affected area.
Inhalation: If ill effects occur, remove to fresh air. If breathing has stopped, perform
artificial respiration. Seek medical attention as needed.
Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Call physician or Poison Control Center
immediately.
No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically.
Note to Physician:
Because inhalation of propellant may cause distrubance of cardiac rhythm, catecholamine drugs,
such as epinephrine, should only be used with special caution in situations of emergency life
support.
