expected from handling the concentrate.
When applying the product as a spray avoid breathing in spray mists.
May cause irritation to the respiratory tract.
Ingestion The concentrate is of low toxicity if swallowed.
Possible symptoms of exposure include: nausea and vomiting.

Skin May irritate the skin.
Simazine is not a skin irritant in animal studies, however very rare cases of skin
irritation in humans have been reported.
Eye The concentrate may cause irritation of the eyes.
Chronic Effects Other than an occasional transient skin eruption in a few rare cases, no
chronic effects have been documented. There is a warning that regular
exposure to simazine may result in irreversable effects. (See toxicity
data.)

Human Effects Prolonged and repeated exposure can occasionally cause skin irritation,
conjunctivitis and bronchitis.
Other Information The Australian Acceptable Daily Intake (ADI) for simazine for a human is 0.005
mg/kg/day, set for the public for daily, lifetime exposure. This is based on the
NOEL of 0.05 mg/kg/day, the level determined to show no effects during long term
exposure for the most sensitive indicators and the most sensitive species. (Ref:
Comm. Dept. of Health and Ageing, 'ADI List', TGA, August 2003).
