4. FIRST AID INFORMATION
If Swallowed: Rinse mouth and drink plenty of water. Do NOT induce
Vomiting. Seek medical advice.
If Eye Contact Occurs: Flush with copious quantities of water with lids open
for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
If Skin Contact Occurs: Immediately wash effected areas thoroughly with
soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.
If Inhalation of vapour occurs: Remove affected person to fresh air until
recovered. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist.
Advice to Doctor: Treat symptomatically. Gastric lavage with medicinal
charcoal is recommended.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES:
Extinguishing Media: Water fog, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: May produce Carbon dioxide or
nitrogen oxides or possibly hydrogen chloride.

6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES:
Spills – mop up spills immediately with chemical absorbent. Prevent material
from entering drains. Place spilled material and absorbent into disposable
containers for disposal at approved site.

7. HANDLING & STORAGE:
Storage: Store material in original containers in a cool wellventilated area. Do
not transfer to other containers which may have other chemical contaminants
present. Reseal container when not in use. Store out of direct sunlight.
Handling: Material is highly coloured and will stain clothing and skin. Wash
thoroughly with soap and water any areas of skin that were exposed. Any
colour remaining will disappear in a few days.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROL AND PERSONAL PROTECTION:
Exposure standard for component ethylene glycol:  TLV (TWA) 100mg/m3
Ventilation: ensure adequate ventilation when using this material.
Personal protective clothing: Use gloves and eye/face protection when
pouring this material. Use of long sleeves and long pants is strongly
recommended. Wash clothing after each work period.
Hygiene: Wash hands, arms and face thoroughly when leaving work area &
before ingestion of food or drink, smoking and using the toilet.

Inhalation: May cause irritation to respiratory tract and mucous membranes.
Ingestion: May results in nausea and vomiting.
Skin: Prolonged contact may cause irritation. May also result in defatting of
the skin and other dermatitic affects.
Eye: Concentrate may cause damage to the eye if not immediately washed
out.
Acute Oral Toxicity: for Rhodamine: LD50 (rat) 400 –�? 2000mg/kg for
Rhodamine B.

Do not contaminate dams, waterways or sewers with this product.

Container Disposal: Do not reuse containers for any purpose. Containers
should be thoroughly rinsed with water immediately when empty. Crush
empty containers after piercing (to prevent reuse) and dispose of in approved
landfill site.
Spills: Collect spilled material on chemical absorbent and dispose of spilled
material and waste in sealable opentop type containers for disposal. Prevent
from entering drains, waterways or sewers.
