**** SECTION 3 - HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION ****

EMERGENCY OVERVIEW
Extremely flammable. May form explosive peroxides. Harmful if
swallowed. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness.Hygroscopic (absorbs
moisture from the air).Light sensitive.Air sensitive.

Potential Health Effects
Eye:
May cause eye irritation. May cause painful sensitization to
light.
Skin:
May cause skin sensitization, an allergic reaction, which becomes
evident upon re-exposure to this material. Prolonged and/or repeated
contact may cause defatting of the skin and dermatitis.
Ingestion:
Harmful if swallowed. May cause irritation of the digestive tract.
Causes gastrointestinal irritation with nausea, vomiting and
diarrhea. May cause systemic toxicity with acidosis. May cause liver
and kidney damage. May cause circulatory system failure. May cause
central nervous system depression, characterized by excitement,
followed by headache, dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea. Advanced
stages may cause collapse, unconsciousness, coma and possible death
due to respiratory failure.
Inhalation:
May cause severe irritation of the respiratory tract with sore
throat, coughing, shortness of breath and delayed lung edema. May
cause drowsiness, unconsciousness, and central nervous system
depression. Vapors may cause dizziness or suffocation. Exposure to
the mist and vapor may erode exposed teeth.
Chronic:
Prolonged or repeated skin contact may cause dermatitis. Prolonged
or repeated skin contact may cause defatting and dermatitis. Repeated
exposure may cause erosion of teeth. Prolonged or repeated exposure
can cause psychic abnormalities such as anxiety, depression and
excitability.

**** SECTION 4 - FIRST AID MEASURES ****

Eyes:
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes,
occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Get medical aid
immediately.
Skin:
Get medical aid immediately. Immediately flush skin with plenty of
water for at least 15 minutes while removing contaminated clothing
and shoes.
Ingestion:
Do not induce vomiting. If victim is conscious and alert, give 2-4
cupfuls of milk or water. Get medical aid immediately.
Inhalation:
Get medical aid immediately. Remove from exposure and move to fresh
air immediately. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If
breathing is difficult, give oxygen.
Notes to Physician:
Treat symptomatically and supportively.

**** SECTION 5 - FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES ****

General Information:
As in any fire, wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in
pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (approved or equivalent), and full
protective gear. Vapors may form an explosive mixture with air.
Vapors can travel to a source of ignition and flash back. Extremely
flammable liquid and vapor. May form explosive peroxides. Containers
may explode when heated.
Extinguishing Media:
Use water spray to cool fire-exposed containers. Use dry chemical,
carbon dioxide, or alcohol-resistant foam.

**** SECTION 6 - ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES ****

General Information: Use proper personal protective equipment as indicated
in Section 8.
Spills/Leaks:
Remove all sources of ignition. Absorb spill using an absorbent,
non-combustible material such as earth, sand, or vermiculite. Do not
use combustible materials such as sawdust. Use a spark-proof tool.
Provide ventilation.

**** SECTION 7 - HANDLING and STORAGE ****

Handling:
Use only in a well-ventilated area. Use spark-proof tools and
explosion proof equipment. Contents may develop pressure upon
prolonged storage. Do not breathe dust, vapor, mist, or gas. Do not
get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Take precautionary measures
against static discharges. Use only in a chemical fume hood. If
peroxide formation is suspected, do not open or move container. Use
caution when opening. Keep from contact with moist air and steam.
Storage:
Keep away from heat, sparks, and flame. Keep away from sources of
ignition. Do not store in direct sunlight. Store in a tightly closed
container. Keep under a nitrogen blanket. Store in a cool, dry,
well-ventilated area away from incompatible substances.
