Simple Setup
In order to proof an image, Onyx Produc-
tionHouse requires that you have a minimum
of two active printers. These will act as your
ï¬nal output printer and your prooï¬ng printer.
Your ï¬nal output printer is the printer on
which you wish to print the ï¬nal image; the
prooï¬ng printer is the printer on which you
will “test� your image. This allows you to
review a smaller representation of your image
without wasting the ink and media of the
ï¬nal output printer.

about the prooï¬ng printer. Onyx ProductionHouse automatically conï¬gures and
sends the job to a prooï¬ng printer to create a contract proof and puts the job “on
hold for proof �. This means no breaks in productivity while you’re waiting for a
client to approve the color. After you’ve showed your client the contract proof,
make any required color corrections before you go to production. Once you obtain
ï¬nal approval on the contract proof, take the hold off of the job so it can print the
ï¬nal. It’s that easy!
