3 HAZARDS IDENTIFICATION

Environmental hazard : Toxic to aquatic organisms, may cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic
environment.
Primary route of exposure : Skin and eyes contact. Ingestion.
Symptoms relating to use
- Skin contact : Non-sensitizer. Not expected to be an irritant.
- Eye contact : Not expected to present a significant eye contact hazard under anticipated
conditions of normal use.
- Ingestion : Health hazard if ingested in large quantities. Keep away from food, drink and animal
feeding stuffs.


4 FIRST AID MEASURES

First aid measures
- Inhalation : Assure fresh air breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give
artificial respiration. Seek medical advice.
- Skin contact : Remove affected clothing and wash all exposed skin area with mild soap and water,
followed by warm water rinse. Seek medical attention if ill effect develops.
- Eye contact : Check for and remove any contact lenses. In case of eye contact, immediately rinse
with clean water for 10-15 minutes. Obtain emergency medical attention if pain,
blinking, tears or redness persist.
- Ingestion : DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the

5 FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES

Extinguishing media
- Suitable extinguishing media : Small fire: Dry chemical.
Large fire: Water fog. Water spray. Alcohol foam.
- Not to be used : Do not use a heavy water stream.
Surrounding fires : Use water spray or fog for cooling exposed containers.
Specific hazards : When heated to decomposition, emits dangerous fumes. Nitrogen oxides. Carbon

Protection against fire : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory
protection.
Special procedures : Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire. Avoid (reject) fire-fighting water to

6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES

General precautions : No smoking.
Personal precautions : Keep public away from danger area. Spill should be handled by trained cleaning
personnel properly equipped with respiratory and eye protection.
Environmental precautions : Notify authorities if liquid enters sewers or public waters.
Clean up methods : Clean up any spills as soon as possible, using an absorbent material to collect it.
Dilute residues and flush.


7 HANDLING AND STORAGE

General : Ventilate confined spaces before enter. No naked lights. No smoking.

protection equipment is recommended.
- Hand protection : Wear suitable gloves resistant to chemical penetration.
- Skin protection : Skin protection appropriate to the conditions of use should be provided.
- Eye protection : Chemical goggles or face shield with safety glasses.
- Ingestion : When using, do not eat, drink or smoke.
Industrial hygiene : Emergency eye wash fountains and safety showers should be available in the
immediate vicinity of any potential exposure.
Local exhaust and general ventilation must be adequate to meet exposure
standards.
