medical advice if irritation persists.
Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash exposed skin with
plenty of water and soap.
Inhaled: Remove to fresh air.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

ENGINEERING CONTROLS:
Use in well-ventilated areas or in closed systems which minimise exposure and
contact by operators.

Specific personal protective equipment not required.
Generally accepted good use practices include the wearing of chemical safety
goggles, full-length clothing and chemical resistant gloves and footwear whenever
handling pesticide concentrates. Wash personal protective equipment after use.

SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION
STORAGE AND TRANSPORT:
Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes.
Store in closed, original container in a cool, well-ventilated area. Do not store for
prolonged periods in direct sunlight. Protect from freezing.
Store treated potatoes in clearly labelled containers away from other potatoes, animal
feed and foodstuffs, in a cool, dry storage area. Containers in which treated potatoes
have been stored should not be used for any other purpose.

SPILLS AND DISPOSAL:
Avoid contact with spilled material or contaminated surfaces. Wear chemical safety
goggles, full-length clothing and chemical resistant gloves and footwear when
cleaning up significant spills.
Contain spill and absorb with earth, sand, clay or other absorbent material. Ensure
spilled material does not enter drains or watercourses. Collect and store absorbed
material in properly labelled, sealed drums for safe disposal in accordance with local
regulations.
Unwanted treated seed should be disposed of in a local authority landfill or by
burying at least 500mm below soil surface in a disposal pit specifically set up for this
purpose and clear of waterways, desirable vegetation and tree roots.
FIRE/EXPLOSION HAZARD:
Extinguishing Media: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical.
Fire Fighting Procedures: Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing,
including self-contained breathing apparatus. If safe to
do so, remove intact containers from exposure to fire.
Otherwise, spray unopened containers with water to
keep cool. Prevent fire-fighting water from entering
drains or watercourses by bunding area with sand or
earth.
Reactivity Hazards: Stable under normal conditions of use. Although stable
in acidic and alkaline media and stable to heat and
sunlight, avoid extreme heat and highly alkaline
materials. Oxides of carbon, nitrogen and fluorine may
be produced in a fire.
OTHER INFORMATION:
ENVIRONMENTAL / ECOLOGICAL EFFECTS
Flutolanil has low mobility in soils and is unlikely to leach into groundwater.
Flutolanil has low toxicity to birds, earthworms and honey bees, and moderately toxic
to fish and aquatic invertebrates.
